No. You are not the only one. Lots of people are also allergic to different kinds of animals, like shrimps, pork, beef, and also chicken, though they seem to be very rare. My only advice is of course, don't eat chicken, and you may take some anti-allergy medicines.

I agree it is rare for these allergies to occur, I've only known one person to be allergic to poultry!

maybe, you are not alone experiencing allergic to chicken. if they are allergic to chicken, you better not choose the menu from chicken. or you can consult a doctor, you may be allergic to chicken can be cured.

so is it true? if you ever go to another doctor? I was allergic to shrimp, each shrimp meal I am always short of breath. but now I can eat shrimp, and I have no problems with my breathing after eating shrimp. I take medication on a regular basis from a doctor. and now I can eat shrimp if I want.

Weird thing is that doctor cant find a cure for it..She told me im going to have it whenever i eat chicken and to prevent it is to stay away from consuming chicken. I had injections from the past but my allergy keeps coming back...it may go away for a few months but will come back.. I think this is my curse :P

I've only known one person to be allergic to chicken, so I believe it is rare. The only thing I can suggeest is to cut it out of your diet completely or to eat it only in moderation, though it depends on the allergic reaction, if it is suffocation you should not eat chicken at all.

I would stop eating it then and go with an alternative to it, you would not want the condition to escalate.

Hi, aisa62379. No. I don't have this problem. I am so sorry that you are experiencing this condition. I hope that you will find the right treatment for this very soon. I have a cousin that says that she breaks out from the chicken that she works around. She works at a factory plant and she is exposed to raw chicken. She says that her face itches and leaves like a small rash. But it is not that bad, it just bothers her. I hope that I ma not allergic to chicken. I know that I break out on my skin too every blue moon, but I would like to know what is causing this break out.

I was allergic to chicken when I was young. It was not easy for me to accept the fact that I am allergic to it cause fried chicken is really good. I am allergic cause I have asthma and I suffered having asthma since I was in college. It was just a few years ago that I discovered I'm not allergic to chicken anymore so I get to eat it most of the time. hehe! I feel so lucky! My nephew is also allergic to chicken. He wasnt before but after he was diagnosed for having asthma, he was not allowed to eat it anymore and I can see it in his eyes how much he wanted to eat chicken but we cant give it to him cause he is going to suffer more if he did. We just always tell him that he will overcome his asthma and will be allowed to eat chicken already when that time comes.

Your not alone. I am also allergic to chicken but mine is kind of mild. I get eat chicken. But at some point it will trigger my allergy. The doctor told me to cut eating chicken but I can't stop eating chicken. For me it will be better to have the itchy feeling Once in a blue moon than stop eating it at all. :)

You are not alone aisa. Sometimes I also get rashes from eating chicken especially if i eat a lot or make it a daily food. I didn't have this allergy when I was young but now that I am getting old, it started to bother me. Chicken is my favorite food and I cannot avoid eating it from time to time. Don't worry it just goes and you will be fine. Maybe you should lessen your chicken diet.

Hi there aisa! almost all people in this world have an allergy, others know what food, medicines they are allergic to while others may developed some forms of allergy in the future. I am allergic to aspirin, and i always said this to any doctor before he/she gave me prescription so that i could avoid aspirin and wont get allergy. You are not alone, people with allergy only differs with what kind of allergens their body was sensitive into.

I knw that seafoods are the common foods that causes allergies but its weird that i dont have allergies with those.Sorry about your allergy to aspirin but still its better than being allergic to foods :) Anyway thanks for the advice :)
