There are many people who will spend lots of time in looking for a job and keep on submitting application.Unfortunately, there are no promises of any interview at all,no matter how many application you would send out.The feeling of rejection and hopeless will always be there and it really destroy your will to apply for any job after a certain period of time.On the other hand, you know that if you don't apply for the job,you will never get one.The struggle is going on within your mind between the terrible reality and the desire of not to giving up.What will you do nin such an emotion state? What kind of suggestion that you will give to any person who are experiencing situation like that?

looking for a job indeed was really hard, we should be able to compete with other job seekers while at the other side, the jobs that are available only a few ... but that does not mean we should surrender and consider sending job applications only to speculate. We still have to believe and continue to pray ...

I remember I have made some thirty application and so answer after some one week, I was really discouraged but then day after day I am receiving many calls to tell me to come and work with them and start as soon as I can so now I am choosing the job I want instead of waiting for them to choose me.

Very good,I hope I will have such an opportunity too.It is very frustrated experience for job hunting and I hope this trouble time can be over soon.It would be nice that if we can be a billionaire, then we can have more choice in doing things and go to the place where we like.I don't support the idea that once people become rich ,then they will retired and do nothing.I think as long as we live,we need to work and make contribution to the society. But if we have money,we can choose what to work with and we can help more people with our finance.Well,it is just for fun I am talking about this jsut to express my opinion and dream. In reality ,I am still doing my job hunting at the moment and don't know when this will be over.i hope it won't take me long to get rid of this problem.I hope everyone in this world can have a job that can build this society up.Well,a hope is a hope ,bettter than no hope at all.Have a good night.

jobhunting is very hard. Just be patient and keep exploring your options. try to apply in many companies and not just 1 or 2. Sometimes we also have to start from humble beginnings so try not to be too choosy when it comes to hunting for jobs except maybe if the reason is very sound or valid. Good luck.

Hi Wild,
I am exactly the person as per your statement. Currently, I am sending dozen of applications to various companies at Singapore. I am waiting for their reply for the phone interview. Due to the geography location, sometimes it makes me difficult to go over there just for sitting the pre-test, first interview and then final interview. Imagine that if few companies request for same process, the whole company including boss what am i doing. And I don't know what's consequence...

I think that one of the most important things for a person to keep in mind is to remember that persistance pays off. You might start applying for jobs and it might take some time before you get an interview. However, if you stay persistant about it, you are going to get an interview eventually. On the other hand, if you don't stay persistant in your search for a new job, then there is a chance that you won't end up ever getting a job interview.

I used to wait for a job interview when I used to be unemployed yet. I was looking for a job for about 2 years before I found my good and stable job. I was so hopeless that time because I felt that i was so dumb and stupid for not having a job at my age and especially Im a college graduate so I belive it would be easy for me to look for a job. That time was so crucial, but I guess that situations makes me grow, that was the time I begin to wait for the right time and job to come. I trust god that he will not let me that way. And he answered my prayers, now, I have a stable job.

Hi,
Indeed there are a lot of people who had to spend a lot of time looking for a job but they keep on failing to get even one job. However, if this situation keeps continuing, you have to be more assertive than what you are doing now. Don't wait for people to reply to your letter of application. Instead, go to the office yourself and ask whether there are any job vacancy or not. However, this may need more self confidence and if you feel it is uncomfortable, the next best thing to do is to ask around whether they know there are any jobs waiting to be filled in.
For example, the banks usually have an all time interviewing sessions where they will process letter of applications from candidates and later on invite them for an interview. Usually the job post is for data entry and you will be processing credit card and other customer details on the computer. The pay is quite good and what you can do is ask around if they know where the interview is done. Second, if nobody knows you can make a search on the internet. Just type in the name of the banks, and the nature of the job and you may be shown some information. Or you can directly call the bank customer service line and ask the person when is the next interview.
You don't have to send in an application letter, but prepare a typed application letter, bring your resume and dress appropriately. On the day of the interview, just go there and perform a walk-in interview. Be brave because usually there are a lot of other people coming in for the same interview because the banks need a lot of workers to be filled in due to the high rate of quitting among workers. They will include you into the interview even if you don't have a name there - trust me I have done the same thing and I got the job - together with 30 other candidates who succeeded as well.
If you try hard enough, you will get a job. I wish you good luck, and I believe you can do it.

i agree with you. for a soon-to-be-applicant like me, i am aware of those facts that rejections are part of applying. for me, i'll just take a look at that situation on the lighter side. i'll just convince myself that if my prospect company rejects me, it's their loss, not mine :D then just look for another company to apply to.

Don't take it too emotionally. What i do is apply to several companies and wait for a week. If no one has called yet, i'll apply again. Getting too emotional over it won't get you a job.

Then look for another job.
I will wait and wait until I have a job.
I'm two years without job right now.
And I'm still searching.
But I'm happy that I start earning.

Just keep on submitting applications. As you've said if you never apply for a job, you'll never get one. Ask yourself what went wrong, there might be something wrong in your resume, in your cover letter.
Revise, revise and revise. Don't entertain the idea of failing then again if you fail put it into perspective. One thing's for sure, every failure gives you another set of experiences.

Hello there wildlittlefan! Times are harder nowadays, and i still remember those times that i was also hunting for a job. I myself knew how it is to be rejected before but i get used to it little by little because i know that each of us can't avoid it to happened.
My advice for job seekers out there is to keep on going job hunting was really like that, just have a little faith in your heart always, don't forget to pray and allow yourself to experience disappointments or rejection sometimes, believe me, it will make you tough, and soon you will land in a job because of your hard work and patience.

I think these people just need to find more and more jobs. Its actually frustrating to know that you have been passing a lot of resumes to different companies and there are no replies from them. I have experienced that when I was new here in my husband's place and it was hard for me to look for a job and I felt like I was really inadequate but I was able to look for a job and that's where I am working now. I dont love the company but I love my job. I am still hoping to be able to find a better job in the future.

Just keep on sending applications and/or resumes. There's no harm in doing so. Keep in mind that you are not alone in this. There are so many jobless people on earth and if you stop applying, you just lost your chance of ever getting employed. Who knows? Your next application might make it and give you exactly the job you are looking for. Those who give up never win and the winners never give up as they say. Consider it a challenge and don't lose hope.
In addition to that, add a little (or better yet, MORE) prayer. God listens tho those who ask.
Good luck and God bless you. :)
