AESA radar in LCA TEJAS.

The IAF has said that it wants nothing less than an AESA radar on HAL Light combat aircraft Tejas.the DRDO earlier planned for a pulse doppler multimode radar.do you think demend by IAF is justified for an aircraft that will be given the role of interceptor.

yes it is.AESA detects stealth aircraft very efficiently than passive ones and with low detectability bcause of high bandwidth and optimization against x band radars.so its a necessity in an interceptor also.
