Retire their Job

Most people retire their job at age 60's or 65 years old and back to work and find another job to survive, the reason is your asset or job now can be decrease responsibility? and this is enough if you reach 60 years old to earn the same profits when you have now today to become financially independent? if yea. How? if no, Why?
