I just can't help it, ever since I was a kid I've been sleeping with a lot of stuffs scattered on my bed and I can still sleep peacefully... when I was younger, I always like to work on my bed, may it be studying, sewing, drawing and crafting, I do it on my bed with all my stuffs scattered within reach, and when I feel sleepy already, I don't clean things up, I just shoved them a little to give me a little space to extend my body and sleep.. the most weird thing that my mom and my friends are horrified at when I just tend to sleep with scissors closed to my face and sewing needles sticking out on my pillows like I use it as a pin cushion, that usually happens every time I'm done crafting.. I have a friend who sleeps like me too, so I bet a lot of you also sleeps with different stuffs on your bed, mine right now are: my laptop, my cellphone, a red headband, my air-condition remote, my most expensive Victoria secret Pink edition perfume encased in a cute pink polkadot cylinder case, readers digest magazines for March and April edition, a precious moments doll, a walrus stuffed animal I bought from Safari World- a zoo in Thailand, a black terapanda sanrio stuffed toy, a pucca stuffed doll and my most beloved teddy bear I got for Christmas when I was 10.. so just take a look at your bed and enumerate those stuffs.. this is so much fun!

When I was younger, I slept with a lot of stuffed animals on my bed and this trend continued into college where I had the entire side of my bed covered with stuffed animals. However, now that I am older the only thing other than my pillows and blankets that is on my bed while I am sleeping is my husband. With two people in the bed, there just isn't room to have a lot of other stuff on the bed with you. Occasionally I will have my stuffed lamb in the bed with us or we might have kids sleep with us on occasion, but that is actually about it.

Lol mishyyu, this is the most hilarious discussion I have responded to. Thank you.
When the weather is warmer I sleep in the back bedroom where my bed is much bigger than the one I am sleeping in right now, located at the front of the house.
When I sleep in the bigger bed, I know where to go if there is something that I can not find. It is in the bed, somewhere, lol.
Unlike you, I do not leave needles or pins in the pillow but I do often take my crafts and or sewing to bed too.
The most common things that I have in the bed I am sleeping in at the moment, other than pillows is a stuffed Eagle Finger Puppet, a Skineez Squirrel and a stuffed angel dog all of which are my puppies toys, who sleeps with me. I also have my cotton gloves that I wear after applying a generous amount of hand moisturizer, since gardening all day tends to dry my hands out. I also have a walk-man and a book that I am reading. Oh yes and my dog and her fuzzy blanket is all of which I have in my bed at thins time other than the pillows.
Often times, when I am in the larger bed I have the TV remote and my laptop as well.
Have a terrific week end. Sweet Dreams n watch those sewing needles!

Lol. I agree and they are very cute stuffies, all for my dog who is 6.5 pounds.
It is her doing, not mine. When it is bedtime, she runs to get a toy and takes it, in her mouth to the bed and stands there, with her toy still in her mouth, looking up at the bed, waiting for me to lift her up. In the morning, she is most happy to find one of her toys in the bed so to play before she gets up.
It is a bit weird to sleep with dog toys but it is what makes my Puppy happy. Lol. Thanks for your comment.

NO, i can't sleep when there are something that is in my bed. Whenever I read a book and feel sleepy I have a cabinet beside me in my bed and I put it there. Whenever I am doing something like scrapping, i put everything in place before I go to bed. This is because I share a room with my older sister and they will be endanger when i will left some scrap things there. The only thing left in my bed are blanket, pillows and my spongebob square pant pillows.

Me too... I usually sleep with a lot of stuff in my bed. I usually do my work in bed. So what I have write now are papers, pencils remote control of my dvd player and tv, Paulo Coelho book, notebook, and some keys :)) Just be careful of what you're sleeping with, its best that you should keep those needles and scissors away while you sleep. You might roll over them. Just a friendly advise :))

Hi mishyyu! I can't say that you are sleeping alone since you have a lot of companions. Lol! Well, if you can't sleep without other stuffs in your bed, maybe you should just check first what are they. You should take away those things that might cause harm to you, specially sharp things like scissor. Also take away those stuff that can be easily broken, because you might accidentally rolled on it. Then you just let the other stuffs stay. Hehe! But if you think you can still overcome that habit, it will be better for you. You will do something to overcome it. Well me, the only other stuff aside from pillows and blanket on my bed, are usually my cellphones, sometimes, and a flashlight sometimes. Have a nice day! Happy myLotting!

haha, very funny with that one although true 'coz they really are my companions at night, I could always rely onto them when I need to do something.. lol. However, I feel like those scissors and needles can't harm me 'coz I don't know, I'm probably some kind of invincible.. lol. I've been used to sleeping with scissors beside me since I was a kid, and I remember one time, as I rolled on my bed, I felt something piercing at my back particularly at my spine, and then I turned and checked on it, it was a needle and it didn't even pierce through my flesh even that I already laid hard on it.. flashlight.. that's useful, I used to sleep with a flashlight too with the replaced batteries beside my pillow which I stopped coz my mom told me it will cause baldness..

Hi, mishyyu. With the number of people that sleeps in my bed, I don't have any room for anything else. My daughter sleeps with her doll baby almost every night. I don't have any items that I would sleep with on my bed but just my comforter and sheets. I once knew a girl that was a teenager and she had many stuffed animals on her bed. I use to have stuffed animals on my bed when I was younger, but not anymore.

I wish I could have as much fun enumerating the stuff I have on my bed, but my bed is totally empty LOL! When I sleep, the only stuff on my bed are my small pillow (remember the one you gave years and years ago LOL) and a blanket, and when I'm not using them, they are kept inside my headboard. I don't like to sleep with a lot stuff lying around on the bed because they always end up on the floor. I especially don't like it when I drop my stuffed animals and they get dirty. There was also a time when I didn't use a pillow for sleeping, just a blanket. I though it would help my posture if I slept flat on my back, but I actually always end up sleeping on my side, so it's pretty useless hahaha!

I am guilty of this. aside from my pillows, my laptop is on the bed as well as a couple of books and magazines that I read just before sleeping. it might be intrusive to some, but I like it just the way it is.

OMG I can't believe you can sleep with all that stuff on your bed. My bed has to be completely clear for me to sleep. I only sleep with 4 pillows on my bed. I can't even sleep with a piece of clothing on my bed. My daughter and her husband tend to sleep with clothes at the end of the bed. I think its just so weird to do this. I need to be comfortable when I climb into bed. With all that you sleep with I can't believe you can fall asleep. I would definitely get rid of the needles and scissors that could be dangerous for you.

i am opposite to you i never sleep and leave other things on my bed beside my pillow cos it makes my space to be smaller and i am very big so it is so not nice ,and never do anything like sewing or drawing it makes my bed to be a mess .

the only thing except plenty of pillows and blankets I have on my bed are books.
I never read in just 1 book there are always 3-4 differnt books I read in, so I take them with me to bed

I have a Garfield pillow that is my constant companion when I sleep. I also have two extra pillows that I need to hug so that I can sleep. I guess this is the reason why it is so hard for me to sleep in a hotel or a friends' house. Its because the things that give me comfort when I sleep are absent.

Well the only object I'd be comfortable sleeping with would be my girlfriend....LOl...:)..On a more serious note,I would be really uncomfortable if I have even something as small as a grain lying on my bed.It would make me feel claustrophobic and I won't rest until I have kicked it away.I am a stickler for a neat bedding with the bed sheet free from wrinkles.Give me a pillow with that and I will sleep peacefully.I like tossing and turning around on my bed so I need a lot of space....:)

Well, it's a matter of what you get used to. But as for me, I don't want anything on my bed except my pillows. I wouldn't be comfortable if I know some other things on my sides or anywhere on the bed, especially laptops, or mobile phones, or other fragile and sharp things.
