We all sit down and pay are bills. You work hard all week and by the time your done paying the bills your check is about gone. It's depressing. Do any of you get depressed on bill day? Do any of you hate having to tell the kids not this week maybe next week I can get you what you need.

My husband and I do not yet have children so we don't have to disappoint the kids with not being able to get them what they want or need. We do disappoint ourselves though as we'd like to get more things, being kids still ourselves. Well we act like kids lol, but we're adults. In any case, I know when we do have kids that is one of the things I will hate to say. They won't really understand the value of money until their older, past the stage of asking for every little thing, so it will be heartbreakign to say no when we absolutely have to say no.

Nah, we're used to it. I got it set up so we pay 1 bill a week... 2 if they're small, but either way each week we pay out the same amount, and the rest is left for groceries and gas. The kids really only get special items on holidays.. with 5 kids I sure as heck can't afford to get them stuff whenever they want. I think that's good for them though. Kids who get whatever they want whenever they want it end up being spoiled brats and don't appreciate the stuff they get.

Yes, bill day is my least favorite day of the month. I only get paid once a month & fortunately I get it the day before the bills are due. So, I have ONE day to smile when I look at my checking account & then the next day it is almost empty . Only good thing is that I know exactly how much I have left to live on for the rest of the month!!!

Who doesn't like bill day. It's is by far the worse day of the month. Like you said once you pay off all the bills you have very little left over. It's quite discouraging. When my girls were younger yes it was hard to always say no not this week. Wouldn't it be great if we lived in a world without bills.
