Anyone dealt with fleas on cats?

A few months ago my roommates brought in a stray cat. Well, it ended up giving my two cats fleas. So, I just gave my cats another flea bath, they were really excited about that... But, I was wondering if you guys had any good tips to keep the fleas away?

Hmm.... Maybe try flea collars? I don't know. I've never had a problem with fleas...I'm sorry I don't have any better advice.

We got our cat from a shelter and when we picked her up she had lots of fleas. We weren't aware of it in the beginning, but the vet discovered that the fleas and she suggested that we use frontline. We had to do it 3 times in order for the fleas to disappear, but in the end it worked, and I don't regret buying it even though it was a little expensive. Our vet also told us to clean everything, but it is hard to get rid of all the fleas, because they can hide in the carpets and many other places.
