As I was surfing in the net, I have come to read an article 'bout losing weight. The topic interest me, for I was alarmed really. Most of you here have not seen me, but tell you what? I am way too heavy for my height, I am in real bad shape. Although I am already chubby since I was a kid, I really grew bigger and bigger side ward. Ohhh...They say, I might have a face but don't have a body...toinks! Too bad really, especially that I am married of almost 3yrs. now and I still don't have a child. I dreamed of many kids, many advice me to lose weight too so that I can bear one or two.
Anyway, I'm alarmed already 'bout my weight problem. I need to lose weight not just for my personal reasons, but for there are some important reasons that I should pay attention in order to lose excess fat NOW!
Stroke - Obesity is the number one cause for arteriosclerosis, or plainly the build up of fatty deposits in the arteries. This makes blood unable to flow freely and is associated with the increased risk of blood clotting. And when this arteries supplying blood to the brain get blocked; it will result to a stroke. This has been proven already for decades. Heart stroke is no.1 killer nowadays, it will just come anytime to the excess fat person. Oh no, this is absolutely alarming!
Cancer - Excess body fat encourages the production of hormones insulin and estrogen, which increases the division of cells. It increases the creations of adipose tissue to store more fats. The faster the cell divides the more the chances are of developing cancerous cells. This was revealed in a new research recently, therefore, Cancer disease nowadays is not just thoroughly hereditary (as mostly known by our locals) but being overweight can also cause cancer already, scary huh?
Diabetes - The number 3 killer in the US, studied recently, it is well known that 80% of people with type 2 diabetes are obese. This is due to the wrong food they intake. Food on the higher scale of glycemic index and glycemic load is the main reason for this. High glycemic foods are broken down faster and absorbed to the blood stream. This increases the blood glucose level faster. The addition amounts are converted to body fat and stored in the body. This is done by the hormone named as Insulin. When the body cannot produce enough Insulin to deal with the excess glocuse, diabetes occurs.
Varicose Veins - Our leg and thigh muscles helps the heart in the circulation of blood. They are involved in pumping blood to the heart against gravity. If you have a large abdomen, the pressure on these muscles will increase in doing their job. This would damage the valves involved in this job, causing swelling and thickening of skin.
High Blood Pressure - Age and body mass index are the strongest indicators of high blood pressure. High blood pressure can lead to other diseases such as heart attacks.
In this situation, I need to decide to lose weight, it's a MUST! To avoid this diseases. With a proper methods of weight loss and choosing the correct program, perhaps I can do this well.

Well good luck on your new venture. I know what it's like, I'm 5'3" and 5 years ago I was over 300 lbs. I lost 150 lbs and have kept it off. Even though at my heaviest I was in perfect health. I feel so much better, and it's fun to buy clothes now. I'm still wanting to loose about another 10 -15 lbs. I watch what I eat, and exercise. When I first started I cut out 90% of sweets and 95% of cold drinks. Good luck
