Are you fond of giving gifts?

Yeah, I feel bad too, but why give them a gift you know they don't need or probably want... I was finally able to find something for my sister for her birthday in January that she really uses...an electronic book reader. She loves it and that makes me feel good. But I'm already worried about Christmas... My Mom's birthday is in a week and a half and she's already said she doesn't want anything, but now I'm scratching my head...what do I get Mom. I may have to go back to my old standby -- flowers and a card.

You got that right, its useless if we will just be giving them something they wont be able to use that much at all. As for me my moms birthday is over already and as expected i failed to give her any at all but hey at least i kissed her hugged her tight and then told her that i love her very much and that shes the best mom in the world for me

We have the same problem its not that we dont want to give them something its just that most of the times we dont know what to give them.Its either they already have that item or they just dont need it thats why most of the times, im not able to give anything at all, which makes me feel guilty most of the time

I've always noticed that if a person is a true friend, then they know their friends likes, dislikes, joys, sorrows, and everything else about them. With that knowledge, it is easy to buy or make an appropriate gift. But, if one claims to be a true friend but hasn't taken the time to know what makes their friends special, it's easier to make excuses than make the effort to buy or make a gift.

Yes gifts need not to be expensive at all for as long as the sender is pretty much sincere with what he or she is giving then im pretty much sure the recepient will be able to appreciate the said gift too.Too bad for me even if its really cheap im still having a hard time lookin or at least thinking about a gift to give to a friend or someone special

you know assinertata for me when you greet me and join me in getting out and going to somewhere is already a special gift to me, you know every moment i have with my friend i treat it as specially gift from them and from God, because God give me this people who really help me and accept me as to who am I, gift doesn't matter to me, until you are with me you will always be a gift :)

I envy you alot because when it comes to thinkin bout giving gifts im always pretty bad at that department. Its often i dont know what to give or i just dont feel like going out just to buy for the gift .Sometimes it even makes me feel bad not to be able to give something to my friends

There are always gift cards in varying monetary amounts, so the person can pick their own gift. But, usually, friends just want to know you think of them and don't care WHAT you give so much as that you thought them important enough in your life to try.

Thank you so much joey for giving me an idea about what to give my mom whenever shes not feeling that good at all. Im thinking about buying her some flowers too. Well i know for sure she will be annoyed first and ask me what for but for starters i think i can go with that kind of action and try to take it step at a time until she will learn how to appreciate my small sweet way as her son. i read YOUR discussion fully where you clearly stated " but i just dont feel like it. Before you judge the my character pls feel free to read some of the comments that i just answered as well,im not being arrogant by saying my mere presence is what they need or because i dont want to give perse.The reason why i dont like giving gifts is because im having a hard time trying to find the right kind of gift to give to a friend or to someone special to me i like the thought of giving gifts but to some extent since im not fond of shopping at all i dont get to buy them what they like most of the time i end up having nothin to give them.One of the users said ask for what they like,so now i know what to do,i admit having problems when it comes to giving gifts most of the time and i honestly admit that, but theres a reason why im not able to give gifts as much as you people do, for you to jump into conclusion that im arrogant and self centered is way too judgmental i just wish you at least asked why im doing so.As i said try to read some of the discussions for you to understand more. Hi.Gifts are by people who make them.Well you know your best and you know what they like.I have a freind that loves flowers and holiday gift indoor flower to grow.If a smoker ashtray with lighter.There are so many small things you can do the job.Of course if you can prepare itself will be something more original.is an important gesture.

How i wish im just like you... I mean that i can make my own gifts and then just give them away, or at least to know what kind of gifts i will be giving my friends with. For me thats a major issue, i mean i just cant find a way to know what is it that my friends need thats why sometimes i end up not being able to give anything at all. I really want to know how to deal with this problem of mine, i want to share my part too by giving gifts but im pretty bad when it comes to choosing and not to mention shopping ...sometimes my girlfriend is helping me out but shes not around all the time too

Not to mention it gives us a great feeling of satisfaction once the people whom we gave our gifts appreciate the gift that we gave them.But most of the time im also having problems with thinking bout the kind of gift that i will be giving someone.Ive learned from this discussion of mine that i just have to ask them bout what they want so that it wont be that hard for me to give and buy gifts .

Yeah i understand as well, even if we all want to give gifts if we dont have the means to do so thats a huge problem as well.On my part i dont find it as an obligation to give lol but my problem is i really dont know what to give. Thats what i do when i dont have anything to give them like a gift. I give them most of my time for me to be able to compensate the lack of gift. I believe that giving your precious time to close friends is one sign of love and care for them. We are often busy with so many things in life but when we give a part of our time with people close to us then it just means these people are really important to us

I really do believe giving gifts is a good way of saying thank you for something that they've done to us sometimes for me its a burden, lol not the giving of gifts but choosing the right kind of gifts to give away. Thats what im hoping i will be able to change and i really want to give people the kind of stuff that they want but im terribly bad when it comes to choosing the right kind of stuff

Thats so sweet of you, baking something indeed is so good, too bad im a bad cook or whatsoever, girls can be really good when it comes to these kinds of stuff thats why i let my girlfriend help me out sometime too. But when it comes to my own effort? i am terribly bad with these stuff. I dont know but i keep on having the same bad feeling every now and then. Yeah theres nothing more better than giving your true friendship to anybody, that will give them the feeling of security and that no money or gift can ever replace. Its always good to give gifts to friends especially if you have the means , its just that sometimes no matter how we try to come up with a good idea we just cant find the right item to give them. I know ;) and i find giving gifts very special too, darn it too bad im a clumsy person when it comes to givin one because i dont know what to give at all. Its like im clueless of what to give someone, i want to give them something usefull but the thing is im having a hard time trying to figure out what i should give them. Wow your friends are very lucky to have you. I mean because you spoil them most of the time. Thats so sweet of you it is said that when a gift is given specially personalized one its much more treasured than that of just buying something. Girls are very much into these kinds of stuff , where in as for us guys most of us dont bother or dont have the time to personalize things unless we are romantic indeed . Yeah i think giving away of gifts is one way of expressing how much you care for someone, it gives them the feeling that they are important to us. Too bad im not good when it comes to picking the right gifts for anybody at all. Thats why im trying hard as much as possible to ask so many peoples opinion about this topic. You got that right, its not too late yet you should somehow learn that its really better to give than to receive.But unfortunately for me thats my problem, i mean im pretty bad when it comes to giving out stuff or gifts to people whom i care the much, i dont know what to give them most of the time.
