I started a TaeKwonDo class in January. I am nearly 50 myself and I just found out my instructor is only 19!!!
She is a very good teacher. She is positive and encouraging - even to us old people!
I figure no matter how old she is, I need to know how to do something and she knows how! Can you learn from someone younger than yourself? I think a good teacher (like me!) needs to be a good student.. do you?

Of course. If a younger or older person has knowledge you do not have, it is nice to have it available. I don't know if I would be a good teacher. My communication skills, especially oral mode, can get all jumbled up. I'm better at writing things down.

She is excellent at what she does and is an excellent teacher as well. I have been pretty impressed with her teaching style and ability.

Everyone & everything is a potential teacher, in my opinion. I never turn away wisdom, no matter in what package it arrives!

Good point Mag!! I figure she knows something I don't so it doesn't matter about how young she is!

ya, why not learn from a younger one?
in 12th standard i learned c++ from my younger cousin, who have already mastered in it and he taught that me well.
i belive that if the younger one is capable to teach us then why not?

Sure, especially if they know something and we don't! Why not!

hi mac , i know some people who get iritated when their juniors give them advice , but i also think that most of the time they may not be correct but you also cannot deny ,bcoz sometimes they can be worthy , people in their life have the zeal to learn more and more , they dont matter the wisdom coming from a master or a slave .
