What do you think of the name Fern for a girl?

My friend is having her first baby girl and would like to name her Fern, I don't know if this is the right name for a girl but I would like to here some else thought on this name.

I looked up the name Fern and it said the name creates an overly-sensitive nature which makes a person feel and sense more deeply. Ferns are bound to have a deep, artistic and creative side which shows through a love for art. They also tend to have active minds and have a restless urge to explore new ideas. Not bad, right?
