Do you have a joint savings account with your spouse? For my wife and I, we have jointly opened a savings account for our family planning since early in our marriage. We each have to contribute $200 every month into the account. It's been about 10 years now, and we are glad that we opened the account. The money really comes in handy.

I like joint bank accounts, especially if the couple are married or committed to each other. As you said, the money from the joint account came in handy. I'd like to add that while a joint account can be a good thing, it may also be a good idea to still have seperate accounts.

Of course, my friend. As I've mentioned, both of us have to contribute $200 monthly. The rest of our money will be in our own savings accounts. We have it all planned and thought out before marriage.

Yes, we do have a joint savings account. We have been having it since a few month of our marriage. We don't have our own house yet, so the savings account is mainly aimed to fund the house. We've been married for almost two years and I can see some significant increase in the balance. It works faster when you work together :) Well, hopefully we can buy the house this year :)

Yes, we have a joint savings. We both have our paychecks directly deposited, and have some put into savings from every paycheck. I would like to say that we don't touch it, but we do dip in every now and then when we need to in order to make ends meet. Lately, though, it has gone up more than down.
