Is Ovaltine an acceptable drink?

I grew up on Ovaltine. I drove my parents crazy because I would not drink anything else. That was in England. Now I'm well grown with kids of my own, and I would recommend British Ovaltine. Unfortunately, Ovaltine is also made in Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand to my knowledge. Probably other countries as well. These 'foreign' products don't look or taste anything like the British stuff. They are awful!

i also grew up on ovaltine. at least the philippine formula. my father brought one from abroad, uae, and it was also awful. i guess they sort of tailor their formula according to the country's liking. this was the time i realized that one name doesn't guarantee quality all the time.
