I was just watching a show called "Pepito Manaloto"- a show about a really poor and good guy hitting the jackpot in the lottery. The show is about how he decides to spend it [on his family and others] and the people who want to help him or take advantage of him- because he's a bit naive..If i were to win the lottery, I would spend my winnings on my 2 daughters' education, i would also start a business so we won't have to worry about money anymore..

I would pay off all my debt, then I would start pursuing the types of work I really want to do in life...

I could pay off EVERYTHING I owe right now, including my house, and have money left for $102,000. So, I guess I am not doing too bad at all. Winning enough money in the lottery to pay off my debts would certainly enable me to do some things in life that I have never been able to do. I have a feeling that I could really make some good money working on my own, but until I pay my house off, I can't afford to take the risk of quitting my job and not being able to make my mortgage payments.

Winning in a game of chance like the lottery is really something, imagine if you picked the right numbers that wins with a chance that is very minimal then you can consider yourself very lucky. As you have said if you are that guy, you will pay all your debts and the excess you will use it on things that you have never done before in which you have been longing to do.Thanks again

pay for my son to go to rehab. I don't really have any other want other than for him to be better. If I had anything left I'd probably buy a house and a vehicle since I don't have either one!

Hmm... Well the problem is, sudden money changes the people around you. You get hassled day and night by people wanting your money. People you never knew, will call you up and claim they are part of the family. Even family members will turn on you, and expect you to pay them for every little thing. I've read stories where mothers sued their sons and daughter, best friends sued each other, co-workers jointly sued a former co-worker that won. Imagine every friend, family member, and co-worker, seeing you as nothing more than a giant walking talking bag of money. So in all honesty, I would never play the lottery. It ruins people. Like the show you watched, the number of people who hit the lottery and end up bankrupt in under 3 years, is shocking. The only way I'd accept lottery winnings, is if I can collect the money in a clandestine fashion, so no one knew. Otherwise, I'd send the winning ticket to a charity. IF I could get the money without it being known, I would first pay off the house. Then set aside a large portion for retirement. Then I would maybe split college 50/50 with my kids. I don't believe in free rides. Kids that pay nothing for education, take it for granted.

yes, your both right.money mostly changes peoples lives especially the one you never expected.Lets hope its for the best but many has been documented that instant millionaires sometimes goes broke in a span of 3 years maybe less. Many things will change as andy77e said family members and other relatives will approach you to spare some of your fortune to them, many will befriend you maybe even your enemies before. So money really changes everything we can not say all but mstly I guess.thanks andy77e and trruk1

If i won the lottery the very first people who will be happy for me are my relatives, first they will be given a fair amount of my winning i will be reconstructing most of their homes, most of my relatives are not well off thats why helping them is a must for me. Then i will think about pampering my mom too, and maybe take her to places that she really wants to visit. And lastly i will be thinking of a good business to start with, so that the money will be invested in good stuff and not wasted at all.

If I win the lottery one day I would gladly donate some portion of the money to the charities. There are many people and especially children who needs my financial help and I will exactly do that. Then I will start a business of my own something that would last and become big like those rich companies out there and I'm going to employ thousand of jobless people and I will help them to make a living. I probably travel some country that I love to see one day with my family. I would buy all the things that I need and never had the chance to buy before and eat all the delicious food and hope I wont get fat if that happens just kidding.

OH my!!! I always love to this type of fantasy. I am absolutely sure that I will never ever win a Lottery, simply because I never BUY them!!!!! Now, if somehow, I do buy and I do win, the first and foremost thing I would be doing would be give a 'thank you' visit to my Family Diety, Sri Srikanteshwara of Nanjungud. Then, I would take out my list of all 'pending' wish list of my wife, ....... earrings, bangles, sarees, etc. Surely, the amount would be big enough to satisfy all her wishes and still have some balance. Then, only then, I will think of my wish, and that wish to visit the "Manasa Sarovar" and "Mount Kailash", the abode of Lord Shiva. If still, left with something, I would not hesitate to donate to charity, especially educational ones.

There are a lot of things that I would do if I were to win the lottery. I would first pay off all of the debt that my husband and I have acquired in our lives, including all of my student loan debt. In addition to that, I would make sure that a college education including graduate school would be covered for both of my children, and also for my two nieces. I would finally want to make sure that my mother would be financially secure for the rest of her life.

Depending on the amount and the kind of lottery. I was required to read a short story in high school about towns that held a "lottery" the winner got stoned, so that they could have a good crop that season. Then, what if it was only 5$ or 50$ not much to do there but try again, or pay a bill. If you are talking a substantial amount of money, it would depend on the amount, I would set aside enough, in a high interest account, or mutual fund, to be able to live comfortably off of the interest for some time. Then I would go about purchasing some land, better buy some while I can, they have stopped making it you know. And from there, I would contribute to causes I believed in, such as stopping the abuse of children, and proper criminal rehabilitation, prisons don't seem to work, and though these people need to be separated, there can't be something right upstairs, so instead of punished, I believe they need to be helped. Though definitely separated. If I had to choose between which I would contribute to more, I would choose the stopping child abuse. With appreciation.

What a great idea my friend, imagine you thinking the welfare and interests of other people especially the rehabilitation of criminals opening other areas to help them, because as you have said prison term don't work.Contribute also to organizations that helps stop child abuse.Investing to a high earning funds with interest that will support you and live a comfortable life.thanks

I would definitely buy that house down the road I want.... I would get my husband and I newer vehicles (not new, but used).... I would invest some of the money into a 401K and also get a CD with some of it to draw some interest for retirement..... I am not like most and thrifty with money..... I would still shop at consignment..... Someone else's trash is my treasure in some incidences.... That is where most of my clothes come from.... I got all name brand clothes but have bought from consignment or people have given to me.... So I am good
