I flirt with the idea just for a while, and I start the post here coz I find it will be quite interesting and maybe it's working trend. So,if it does come ture in the future, what influence will it bring to the society, the whole world. I think it must bring less pollution to enviroment and traffic jam. U?

I think that telecommuting is the wave of the future. Environmentally, there are a number of benefits as well lessen our carbon footprints, but it may not be the best thing for most workers. Employers will pay less, there will be fewer and fewer full-time positions and fewer benefits, including fewer health insurance.

Hi,my friend Thoughts for reality, maybe things wonnt roll as we expect,it may also cause another finacial crisis,a really stagnation in all businesses, coz many sorts of consume fall down with teffic rate. I'm happy u refer to carbon footprints,it's a really hot word in enviroment field,I hope u and me could reduce the carbon in our routine life. This is my wish as one of massive enviroment protector

yes it would definitely lessen traffic and pollution. it would also mean that you don't have to spend too much on fare, food and clothes since you can just work in your pajamas. i like the idea :)

if more and more people are able to find work at home, or telecommute, then yes, it will help with environmental issues. Individually it will probably save on office appropriate clothes, and it will save the cost of transportation and even the daily cost of food in the workplace. Depending on the type of work, it may also reduce the need for child care. People will become, perhaps, more isolated and the parts of the economy that provide the food, clothing and transportation for work will suffer a downturn and will have to go into different businesses.

Hi,GG Working at home does free us to have much more time at home, arrange for our kids' routine life and stay with families. Also can we get the rid of cathing early subway or bus to work, maybe the rushhour will disappear from dictionary. Well.in the other hand,it also could bring some other problems. As u mentioned, people like to stay in individuals house and ignore the social human interesting, everyone keeps their own isolated island. All of that is virtual a social problem, only express business will be more flourishing......

If more and more people start to work at home then i think it would become a norm. Then students will have a reason why they should just take up home class cuz they'll be working home anyway.

Hi,frontvisions Well,I afraid all teachers are gonna turn to be beggars if it's rolling along as u envisoned..... I think kids should be kept in school to get educated, coz U can hardly image how parents could make time to teach thier kids while they are woking at home.....

some businesses such as the postal and health services will remain as usual. some people such as the building-tenants will be bankrupt because there is less need for office-space. some people such as janitors, security guards will be out of jobs. i agree with you that there will be less pollution to the environment and less traffic jam.

For work at home in general, one does have to have basic Internet navigation skills and basic typing skills. For a lot of the telecommute jobs that are available, one does have to have certain skill sets. However, it depends on which company you are applying for as to what skills you need to get the job. For each job listed, it usually states "specifics of experience eeeded" and often times will require a resume from you. A few of the companies will train you on the job and if so, it will be staedd on the company's websi... Also some of the companies will require you to train on site for so many months of said company before you are allowed to work at home.
