How much water do you drink?

I have gone to the doctor today, she ask me do drink more water. She told me at least 8 glasses of water. I think I am currently drinking around 10-12 glass of water. Is 8 glasses really enough? My cousin also visited the doctor couple of days ago, The doctor said you need to drink more water. In our mind really he needs more? He is currently drinking 12-18 glasses of water a day. So really what amount is enough water?

I dont have any idea about what's enough when it comes to water intake but I dont its ever gonna do you harm if you drink more than 10 glasses. I think its the best way to do to stay away from diseases cause water will really help cleanse our body. I drink about 1.5 liters in a day and I am planning to increase by water intake cause I need to do it because of some infection. Doctors always say drink plenty of water so we'd better take their advice.

Thanks inedible. I usually like the feeling of drinking water in one go. I guess I need to stop it. Also Thanks to you p3ks626 I will drink more from now on. But not all in one go :)

I hardly drink one or two glass of water every day, thats too less but I cant drink a lot of water, I dont know why!

I guess you just need to drink often, in small amounts. You need it.

In one day, I drink around three glasses of tea, one can of coffee, and half to one bottle of water. Not sure how much that adds up to (and if I remember correctly, caffeine is a diuretic, so the tea/coffee I drink probably counts as less than their volume). I think the amount you need daily depends also on your daily activities. If you exercise a lot and sweat more, you'll need more water than someone who sits around doing nothing. It probably depends on your diet too, since most foods contain water. Especially fruits. But 12-18 glasses should be more than enough.

i think you lack water. I read it once that we need to drink 8 glasses of water. Not including juices, soaps, teas and more. I think this can make you drink more water.

I don't think you have to be literally drinking 8 glasses a day- that's just the amount most bodies need from food and drinking. A lot of fruits and vegetable contain water naturally, and milk and juices also contain water. I just think you need to listen to your body and eat a balanced diet and drink when you're thirsty.

i drink a lot of water, like 16-18 times. i really dont care if i dont eat for 1 day or i dont sleep in 1 day but i dont drink water for 1 day then i cant live with that. some people drink a lot of water that its as if 1 liter is just 1 glass and i think think im one of those guys

Drinking 8 glasses is enough, and drinking water 8-18 glass is good for those people who have diet because drinking 2 liters per day of water will burn 100 calories. But drinking extra gallon of water a day will kill you especially if you eat very little. Drinking water must be in balance with body salt electrolytes.Drinking to much water per day dilutes the salt in our blood tissues and can kill us.

When I drink only 8 glasses I feel dehydrated. I eat a lot. So I think it is good enough for me

I think you have to drink more than 12 glasses of water in a day. It also depends on your body requirements and environment. If your body is little fat you need more water.

Hi arreolabryan! My parents always tell me to drink more water...Everyday, I drink at least 1.5L of water. I agree drink more water will benefits our health, but I think we can't drink too much of water if we are less give out sweat...I think it will cause 'water poisoning '... (I'm not sure, I heard this news from someone)

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I usually just drink about a cup of water a day,which may be about 800ml . I think it is a big amount for me to drink. Except for this, I may eat a lot of food ,which contains a lot of water in it.

yes,water it's very important and vital for our life.without water we can't live.but about drink water i not count how much i drink water everyday,i just drink if i thirsty.maybe atleast 8-10 glass a day,according to me that enough for me

Ohh what I know is 8 glasses a day would be fine. I guess that depends on the activity we have, what amount of liquid needed for our body. So I guess the standard is 8 glasses a day.

i don't drink water until i am thirsty.i love to eat soup.everytime when i have meal,i will eat two bowl of soup.and then i will drink no water a whole day.and i know if a person have too much water,he maybe become hydrops.so,how much water do you drink a day? the answer is that you have water as much as you fell confortable.

I guess it depends on the situation. But drinking plenty of water a day is good for the body. It helps in cleaning the body. It removes toxins and unwanted substances in the body. I think what doctors say is the minimum amount of water we should drink (that is 8 glasses). Enough is when we do not feel thirsty and dried.

Water is an Elixer of Life.I used to drink atleast 5-7 glasses of water per day but physiciam recomment to drink atleast 6 litres of water. that too during summer season it is mandatory to drink a lot of water as we loose water level from our body. so inorder to eqaulize it they can have a glass of water with pinch of salt and sugar.

depend on how long can i stay at home.i prefer to drink water than go out. i can drink lots of water if am staying at home and nothing to do.most of the time i willchoose to drink tea.it's my faverate. i think may be up to 8glasses everyday.especially at night althrough i know it is not a good habit to drink water at night
