I am worried about him, he is going to be 5 years of age, I give him a glass of milk in the morning with pediasure, then breakfast, then a good lunch, milk again in the evening and some fruits and dinner and fruits, but he just does not put on weight, making him eat is also a a lot hassle, but i make sure he eats it takes a long time for him to finish but i never let him go until he finishes his meals
But why is he not putting on weight is my concern

i think i have the same thing goin on with my child. she's 3 yrs old and like you as much as possible i give her the right food, give her daily dose of vitamins and allowing her to sleep longer for her to have an ample amount of rest but still she not getting fat. i think my only consolation is that she rarely get sick.

It sounds to me like you are doing everything you can. Has your child's doctor told you your child was so underweight that you needed to be concerned? I would say as long as your child is running around like a normal 5 year old and healthy then don't worry about it. He sounds like you are giving him good nutrition, so maybe he just burns calories really fast. My daughter is like that. She can eat and eat but she is really skinny. I don't worry about it because she takes after her father. He can eat tons of fatty foods and still is really skinny.
