A author has published a prose anthology named ' life is book',she tells us some emotional stories in her life...yeah, everyone has a story...different... and life teach us what to do,how to do...we learn from life, I had ever seen a movie call 'Forest Gump', there was a classic sentence said 'life is like a box of chocolate, you nenver know what you gonna get'.
I think people will have different understandings about it. what's your opinion?

I guess, I just have to post my self-coined quote regarding life.
"Life is what you make it, fate is for fools, destiny is a joke, luck is for the lazy, it's just you and your hard work"
Anyway, I do believe that life is a book and yes life is like a box of chocolates -- full of surprises.

I don't feel that life is a book. It dosen't mean that I don't accept your opinion. I need time to think on it. But I always see people as books. Every people who I meet is a new book that I have to read and get some knowledge from them. It is just my view.

i believe it also.......writers tend to write their novels according to their own experiences.... it may not be exactly the same as to our life but different chapters of it captures our emotions, and make us remember certain events that happened to our life. Though we cannot say our life would be a happy ending but certainly it you who write your own novel.... it just a matter of choosing the right path...

Life is an open book. It is up to you on how the story will go and how it will end. Make the most of it so people will consider your life a best seller when they "read" it.

The phrase "life is a book" for me means that life has different chapters, like a book. I'm in one chapter now and it's pretty much a good one. I've had the worst chapters before but i don't know. There might be something more worst than what i've had. So far, I'm enjoying this chapter and I hope it never ends but too bad, every book has to end though.

EVERYONE IS A HERO you and me and so also the beggar on the street - first a book and then a movie.
People flock to go to movies and the box office performance has a direct bearing on the plot of a movie mostly if it is centred round human beings. A beggar on the street and those at the helm of affairs can equally draw a crowd if their biography is turned into an effective movie and depending on the director the more known director the better will be the draw.
Take a beggar’s life – just a day in his life can be used to make a movie. From the time he wakes up till the time he retires ofcourse he will not have a cosy bed to lie on but retire he will may be on the pavement. And what happens in between is not visible to anyone just like we do not know what goes on in the life of a celebrity in a day. A beggar’s day could be quite as intriguing. Why does he beg. How much does he make in a day. Who are his regulars? Who are his friends. What food does he eat. Where does he have his bath. Does he shop for new clothes and if so where. Does he have a family? What about his love life – could be no different from that of a celebrity! Does he receive mail from his friends and relatives. What about his ration card? What is the address on his ration card? In what way is his life different from the life of a celebrity. He too has people in his life. He too works, eats, sleeps.
It is wondered why Satyajit Ray – may his soul rest in peace – did not think of making such a movie – a great director and therefore it could have been a great movie too. It could still be thought of as there are directors who think like Satyajit Ray though not with the same intensity.
My life is no less and could be made into a splendid movie too! How about yours?

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I can not agree with your idea more, which is so correct in my mind. Life is a book, which contains a lot of happiness and sorrows. We can get a lot from our life. Sometimes, we can just sit on a chair to enjoy the interest of the life.

You know, life is exactly like a book in many ways. I mean books do have a distinct beginning and a distinct end. Life has being born and dying, I doubt you could get more distinct beginnings and ends if you tried. Throughout life, our stories go in different directions. Some of them would be unbelievable if you put it in a book. In fact, I imagine that some people out there have life stories that would be classified under "fiction". Yet, it has happened. You just wonder how many fiction books were loosely based off of something that happened in someone's life.
Plus, I think I can divide my life into different periods. Much like a book is divided in chapters. Life does have many chapters in many ways. Some much more than others and some that are much longer. Some chapters are very short but others are very long. Life being like a book would make a lot of sense when you think about it. Each day, it is adding to a current chapter of our life and perhaps moving towards another.
So in the end, I think life is very much like a book. In many ways, we all have a story to tell. Granted, there will be some people who have more interesting stories then others but then again, it is really what you are interested in. Life is varied in many ways. Much like books, it can be something to look at in interest. I wonder what the book of my life would be like. Actually kind of terrified in my way.

yes, for me life can be compared to a book. Our lives can be divided into chapter just like in a book. There are many phases we go through and from each one we either learn something from it or not. But just like a good book, the important thing is to enjoy life.
