Can you hurt the one you love?

I ended a two-year relationship 2 years ago because i wanted to live a life free of pain. You see, my lover had this attitude of getting jealous almost everytime i do activities with friends. This lover of mine would then threaten me for a break up which hurt so bad. and this situation kept coming back every month. I know i have loved my partner dearly, but do you think my partner loved me too?

in our Chinese people's opinion,the basic foundation of a true love is trust,no matter how deeply you feel you love your partner,you should give him(her)the freedom to maintain his(her) circle .everyone can't live just with one person in the whole life.so ,i think if your partner really love you ,he would konw this sooner or later.

i couldnt hurt her on prose if i do i would say sorry.
but yeah when have someone who is jealous all the time that is the biggest damage to relationship. trust is a big factor
