Hi cloud, i know how annoying it is when you run out of certain things in your home. My list would be in this order, mainly cooking items.. Rice - it is always there , I buy in bulk Detergent soap - again very essential for daily washing Cleaning liquids - again I buy in bulk so it is always there Tooth paste - I buy 2 or 3 at a time and it is always there. Toilet tissues - This is another one of those that I always like to have. there are so many other things as well like Dhal, Red Chillies, Coriander seeds, wheat flour, cooking oil etc; which I buy in bulk and store...

Hello kiran, Wow that's really a lot, but I admire you for that, its really annoying when something has run out of a stock and you got no way way to go but to wait for another day to purchase it, so we have to be ready at least there's no need to bother its gonna be used up because there still have a stock we can count unto. Thank you for sharing and Good day ahead!

no fuss about such things at home, my dear cloud. we just check the stock, and when it's about to run out, we include it in the grocery list. the exercise has become so routine, there's no more need for thinking. what worries me and my wife is the spiraling cost of many basic items... this can certainly make budgeting an arduous, if not tenuous task.

Good topic cloud31, well i also have my own list to bare. I also check my stocks so that it will always be readily available. Here's my own list. 1.Gas cylinder- Always have a stock because it's too difficult to order to where I live. If you call them today, they will deliver it to you after 3 to 5 days, so it was really a headache if I ran out of this one. 2. Bathroom tissue - We women would mind if this one is out of stock, but men would not even bother if it's there, just like my hubby. Probably they have lived their lives without it, so the way his parents have brought them this (bathroom tissue unanimous) may have caused the reasons why they say that tissue is just a waste of money. 3. Soap - (bathroom soap, laundry soap and laundry powder)- Things I use a lot and gets out of stock very often because I do the laundry if not twice, thrice a week. 4. Cleaners/ kitchen cleansers - ( liquid floor disinfectant, dish washing liquid, wood polishing spray - I do clean the house everyday so I really do can't stand to have one of these items gone. I always make sure I have a stock. 5. Condiments/ Cooking Oil - I always stock, vinegar, soy sauce, fish sauce, cooking oil, saute powder from Maggi and Knorr. My cooking will never be complete without these so I see to it, I have an ample amount of stock.

Sad thing to say is that there have been times that I have ran out of the things that I am going to mention. 1. Toilet paper (there is nothing worse than having nothing to wipe with) 2. Pepsi (this is my morning pick me up, I cannot function without it) 3. Paper (I am forever writing notes and have to have something to write on) 4. Water filters (I won't drink water straight out of the tap because it tastes bad to me) 5. AA Batteries (most of the things in our house that aren't electric run on AAs)
@cloud31 (5809)

5 Most Important things I don't allow dries out of stock: 1. Drinking Water 2. Toothpaste 3. Bath soap 4. Whole Milk 5. Cotton buds Drinking Water is the top on the list, because it's really a necessity for me. There must have water close to me all the time not only for satisfying thirst, but also for health reasons. Second is toothpaste, because I don't feel comfortable without brushing my teeth every after eating, and of course for hygiene purposes. Third, Bath soap of course for hygiene purposes again, and to feel way fresher. Fourth, is whole milk, because I am used to drink milk at least one glass each day, and I feel that day is incomplete without it. Fifth, is cotton buds! I just couldn't stand without it, I know it's not a good habit to use it often, but I just want to have it available all the time.

Bath tissue - Because I really don't want to run out when I need it. Coffee - I need my coffee! Milk - My son loves cereal for breakfast and tends to get cranky if we're out of milk. Eggs - You can always make a meal if you have eggs on hand, regardless of what else you have around. Contact solution - so I can see.
