A lot of people like to travel cause of so many reasons. I love to travel cause I like looking at different places and also know about people. Do you have other purposes when you travel or you just go somewhere cause you wanted to see the place? What are your purposes and what did you learn from your travels?

On my trip around the world when I was 20 I developed my patience. I became a better person. After that amazing trip I decided to train to become a primary school teacher.
I traveled to Kenya and whilst there I went on a safari. I learned about the wild animals. I found out about the Masai Mara tribe.
I went on a trip to Israel and Jordan. I learned about three religions of the world.
When I was 29 years old I visited New Zealand. There I had first hand experience of working out tides and the safe crossing of some rivers. That experience was far more educational that a Geography lesson.
My last trip was with my toddler son to South Africa. We went on a walking tour of a poor township. I learned about poverty, charity work and on the Garden Route I learned about history, architecture and wild animals.
I like to meet the local people and find out about their culture. I like to view the native wildlife. I enjoy seeing the architecture and taking photos by some picturesque view points. There are many places on my travel wish list. I travel to see particular sights and have pleasant experiences. I love tropical islands and cities which have lovely looking architecture.

Wow! You are really lucky cause you had the chance to go to those places. And better yet, you learned a lot of things especially patience. There are a lot of things to learn from when we travel and I'd like to share an experience when I re-learned patience. It was when my husband and I were on our way home and we arrived in the airport 5 hours before our flight and when it was already time for us to go, there were changes in our schedule so our flight was delayed. Of course we were tired and we wanted to be home on time and I started to get irritated but it didnt give me any good cause even if I would be angry, the situation is not going to change. So, its better to be patient especially if you cant control the things that are happening.

You learned to be more patient when your plane was delayed and in the first place you arrived hours before your flight. So I feel that you know that a flight will leave eventually. On my last journey which was to Cape Town our flight was delayed for five hours. I had a nice long time to read up about South Africa and care for my disabled son. My son was very patient and quiet on that 12 hour flight. Thanks very much for giving me a best response.

hi p3ks626,
if i could afford i would. traveling to the countryside takes me away from the hustle and bustle of city life. where the air is fresher with less pollution to the environment. where there is no traffic jam. where listening to the rooster in the morning or the sounds of the water that runs in the creek nearby is a joy. and i look forward to come back to my job, refreshed and motivated.

I also like the country side. My hometown is in the country side but I moved here in the city a year ago and living here in the city is not really 100 percent good because of the pollution. And its also expensive. I think it can also be considered educational cause education isnt just about the things that you learn at school but also about the things you learned from daily life experiences.

I also enjoy traveling but I dont get to do that that much. I dont have opportunities in my workplace to be able to travel to other places and I only get to travel with my family which usually happens once in a year. I also consider traveling educational and I also learn a lot from it.

Well traveling would be like education in the fact that you are going to some where that you do not normally live at everyday and when you are there you are most likely to learn something that you did not know before.
Other reasons to travel would be work, business, or pleasure.
with these three you might not actually learn anything new because you most likely are already set on doing certain things.

That makes sense. But people travel to different places and stay there for only a few days but not actually live there. If you are going to live to that place then you just traveled to live there but not just to see the place. For me, there are small things that can be learned from when you travel. Even of you are riding in the bus or riding in an airplane, there are things that can be learned.

Some places I travel to I consider an "education". I learn about the people, the culture, etc. But most of the travel I've done in the past few years is to see family and friends, so I wouldn't consider that "education". I like doing both kinds of travel.

I think traveling is the most intensive learning experience you can have! It is challenging and it opens your eyes to how the rest of the world lives. There are so many new things to try, new sights to see, new worlds to experience.
That being said, I love art and always try and combine my love of art with travel. My goal is to see all the major art museums in the United States and Europe one day. Every time I go to a new place, the art museum is the first place I head. Of course, that's not my only motivation for traveling, but it is a great reward for me.
What do you like to learn about?

Right! Cause learning is not limited only at the four corners of the classroom. I like to learn about the culture of other people as well as their traditions. I am also interested in the kind of food that they are famous for. In traveling, the purpose is not just to see the place but also become a part of it even for a while.

Dear friend,
I do enjoy traveling that too if my health too is better. Only thing I am bothered is about my health while traveling, otherwise I happy to travel especially to those unseen places with much natural beauty and other beauty. I also consider that traveling makes one to get much of practical education.

Hi,there,my friend
Well, I wonder what sort of trip u mean exactly, worldwide trip? or just between states and cities?
I think traveling really cost much, not only money but also time, though we could amuse ourselves by that.Almost everyone here likes traveling, the further place we could go the more we could enjoy ourselves, even it's not famouse resort.Coz it's great for everyone to know various cultures in earth village,to have special local dishes, view different scenery...
I'd like be on my way of traveling all the time if I had account of BillGates

I have not traveled abroad but I have been to several places in my country. Most of the time, the purpose of my travel is work-related. I do believe traveling is a great way to learn. Maybe it is not the same as being in a classroom but you learn all the same. More hands on. You experience different cultures when you go to a new place. You learn that they do things differently than you are used to, their food is cooked in a different way, and so on. Also, traveling is a great way to appreciate the beauty of ones own country.

For me, learning through hands on better than learning things the traditional way by just listening to the teacher and all you have to do for the whole time is sit there get ready with the pen and take some notes. Its better to have learning in a way that you move and discover things for yourself. That way learning is better understood and easily remembered.

yes of course, even if you travel to have a tour or vacation, still you can learn something like for example the culture of the place your going to visit, you will learn why and how they live in everyday life, travelling really gives man a total education on different things

Hi p3ks626!
I think people love to travel to be able to learn and share with different cultures from different parts of the world. One thing is we share with their culture through food, lifestyle, history, beliefs, and so on. Then we would have a better understanding on with different places we go to.

If the purpose of traveling is gonna be like that then I can tell for myself that traveling becomes educational. I have travel in some places before but not out of the country and people from their place have the same culture like our but we have different traditions and learning about others ways is also a good thing.
