Are you good in Budgeting?

My husband sends me money regularly (he's an OFW) for a whole month consumption. I'm also working so it is expected that our combined income is good enough to support the needs of our family. I'm trying to be as thrifty as I can be but it makes me wonder why I run out of budget most of the time.
One factor that affects my budgeting is the obligation to pay our previous loans & credits (used for processing of documents for work abroad), the other thing I may consider as reason is that we're an extended family. Aside from my baby, I also live with my granny and aunt's family in the house. I shoulder all the monthly bills and other finances. It's so hard to earn money but why it seems so easy to spend it?

Oh well... I have always had problems with budgeting. It is mostly due to my shopping. Whenever I have a good amount, I spend a part of it on shoes, cloths, deodrants and other things... And by the end of the month, I pray to Heavens (and to my company ) to credit my salary, earlier...
You really are doing a good job, maintaining the family on your own... God bless you!

Ha ha! Are you a shopaholic? You must have plenty of money to spend for what you want huh? But don't forget to save some for future use or emergency needs.
I do shop and usually plan for some great stuff to pick but everytime I enter the mall, my feet lead me to the baby's section. I always end up paying at the cashier with some goods and things intended for my baby.

Thanks Mr_Pearl! I love my baby so much, he's such an angel.. I don't count the money I'm spending for his needs, it's my happiness as a mom to give him all the best.

Hello eloveriz! You know what? your problem was common to all of us who do the household budgeting. One financial expert ive watched before told that whatever happened, stick to your old way of budgeting your money even your salary increased do not spending beyond your monthly spending limits. Write down the tally of your spendings everyday so you could monitor the flow of your money. It is true that its harder to earn the money rather than to spend it.
Maybe you ran out of money because of your previous loan just like what you've said. If you already paid them, then start analyzing if that would be the case again next time. You will be the one who could assess that so take action by writing all your budget plans in one notebook so you could easily adjust on your spending habit okay? Good luck!

Hi jinjer, thanks for your worth reading post. I'm having headaches with all our payables but in due time, we will settle all of these. What adds to my burden is the continuous payment I do to our stolen motorcycle.
God willing, if we surpass all these difficulties & financial problems, we'll be able to save up for our dreamed business venture.

My husband and I are horrible at budgeting. We try, but we just end up spending too much. I'm bad at paying the bills on time. I seem to always forget when they are due or I intend to pay them but during the day get distracted and forget to pay them. Right now we are pretty behind and waiting on our refund to come so we can get caught up. Then we are going to try to start fresh and be strict on ourselves so we can stay within our budget.

I am good at budgeting but my husband is not good at following it and so it seems that we are always behind on bills. Also, it seems that I am not making money online right now and so that truly hurts our income too. I am trying hard but I am just not making as much as I was.
