I noticed that a lot of people are aiming to travel lately. With cheaper airfare, the burning curiosity to find out about the cultures in other countries can now be satisfied. :) Personally, I would like to travel to places that have always sparked my interest. So I'm starting a discussion, for all of us to share the Top 5 destinations we would like to travel to, if money were not a problem. :) Here are my Top 5 countries: 1) China - I've always felt a soul tie to this country. Also, I would love to see the misty mountains there, more than watch the sunset on the Great Wall of China. 2) Japan - I think it would be so romantic to have the cherry blossom petals fall on your head during its season. :) 3) France - Wine, cheese, chocolate, romance galore. I'd love to have a date with my future husband here. Escargot, anyone? 4) Scotland - I've fallen in love with the concept of kilts and bagpipes since I read it as a little girl. To go see the archaic, mysterious castles, to watch the bagpipes "live," and to wear a kilt... Even though these are for boys... Seem like an adventure worth praying for. 5) Venice and Poveglia, Italy - I've never really thought about Italy as a place to go to, but the thought of authentic pizza and pasta enjoyed on the gondolas of Venice, Italy, seems to quite romantic. Also, I would love to scare myself silly in Poveglia, renowned to be one of the scariest places on earth. I think it's accessible via Venice? So guys, do share your Top 5 travel destinations. :) No thinking about money here. Just dream it, and we can do it!

I am very lucky because I have already done much of the traveling I have wished to do. Like I went around the world when I was 20 years old. In my twenties I went on a safari in Kenya and explored the Holy Land. When I was 29 years old I visited New Zealand and some of the South Pacific Islands. During my thirties I have been to the Seychelles and the Maldives. I have been on a trip to Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. On my last trip I went to Cape Town and the Garden Route. I shall be going to Vancouver on my next trip. My dream trips are: 1. Island hopping and snorkeling in the Philippines. That will hopefully come true. 2. Sailing around the Galapagos Islands. I doubt I will be able to afford that trip. I wish to see all the amazing wildlife. 3. A trip on the Trans Siberian Railway across Russia, into Mongolia to China. I wish to walk along some of the Great Wall. If I can ever afford the visas I will make sure I do that trip. 4. A journey to India to see the Taj Mahal. This might happen when my children are older. 5. A trip to Machu Picchu with my friend that lives in Chile. I hope that one will happen next year. I wish you happy traveling. Dreams can come true so good luck.

Wow, what a journey your feet and mind have made. I'm making tentative steps to shake off the fear and start exploring the world. Here's hoping we all get to go to our top 5 destinations. Take care...

Wow, Maximax! This is amazing! I've read about the Galapagos, too, and yes, I'm also intrigued.. As for your trans Siberian railway trip... Wow. Something I'd love to do as well. Macchu Picchu.. I've read about that too. :) The knots, right? The mysterious Incan race that disappeared, am I correct? Wow. Best of luck to you! And lastly, whenever you're here in the Philippines, do let me know. :) I'll be glad to take you around, if you're headed near where I am. :) Best of luck to you as well, and blessings!

Hello, Nenyalorien. Wonderful topic cheering me up. Firstly, Thanks for your admiration for China, I'm from China. ^_^ Honestly and frankly speaking, China is really sparkling and worthy for you to have a visit and look. For me, I haven't offered me a real trip outside China due to lack of both time and money though travelling around the world is my dream for years. If I own enough money and time for my trip, the top 5 destinations will be as follows: 1). France- a long-dream country from my childhood for its romance, fragrance. 2). Greece- a ancient land of mystery. I eagerly want to have an exploration. 3). Hawaii- the picturesque sceneries attract me so much. 4). New York- a place full of urbanization and modernization. 5). Singapore- a mini-country which is clean, civilized, and prosperous. What a beautiful dream! Thanks again for providing such a good chance to participate the great topic and make myself have a wonderful dream. I hope it will come true in near future. Happy everyday and happy mylotting!

Yeah, as far as I am concerned, I think I will not choose China any more. Just because I have been in China for so many years. Though it is so nice a place for me to look around. But I was born here. I just want to go out to have a look to widen my eyes.

Well, do you mind if I post them in random order? 1. Any country in Africa teeming with wildlife. I so wanna see lions and tigers in person. 2. Los Angeles, California - I don't wanna live there though; I just wanna have a taste of it. 3. The Vatican City - I wanna see its beautiful establishments like churches and museums. 4. South Korea - LOL, this wouldn't have been part of my list if I haven't seen Super Junior live this week. It would be great to see more cute boys in one place, LOL. 5. France - romantic! That's it. ;-)

There's 3 places I really want to go and if I had the money I'd love to spend lengthy holidays in all 3 places. They are as follows: 1 - Japan: Home of cutting edge technology, and beautiful heritage. I'd love to see "the old ways" there, but at the same time I'd love to see a lot of the new technology. 2 - Canada: I have a lot of friends there, and it would be great to visit them! 3 - Antarctica: This place houses one of my most favourite animals in the World...PENGUINS!!! I would love to holiday there and just be face to face with penguins, that for me would be pure awesome!

There are a lot of places I would just love to visit but due to lack of money this is a major problem! If I'm going to dream about where I would travel to though then it would have to be Egypt! I would love to see the pyramids and the camels and just experience the desert, very nice! I would also love to travel to China and see the great wall, that would be a great experience. I'm also thinking about Niagra Falls, I'm pretty sure everyone wants to travel to that spot in the world! Still, it's early morning and I have to start focusing on reality once again as I go and prepare some breakfast for myself! It's my hope that a win on the lottery will change things for me! Once that takes place I will travel the world many times over! Andrew

I haven't really studied that many places that I want to travel yet because I haven't had the money to really even think about traveling anywhere but if I had more money here are the places that I would love to visit: 1. Hawai- There are seven islands that represent the seven chakras of the body and it is a very spiritual place. Also one of my brothers is building a temple their and I would love to see his work and help him work on it also. 2. Italy- It looks like a beautiful place and Italian food is amazing. Also the Temple of Daman Hur which is an amazing temple that looks like it was actually built by divine forces. It's one of my goals to visit this place before I die. 3. Japan or China- I would enjoy visiting an Asian country because I like the designs of their buildings and they also have some pretty interesting technological advances that America probably doesn't see. I would love to travel Europe at some point in time as well. It would be really interesting to see all of the different cultures. 4. Tibet- I would love to also visit temples in Tibet and also travel in the Himalayan mountains in search for Babajii this immortal spirit that I've read about in a book called the Search for Immortality.

I would take my kids everywhere! Starting with the countries of our heritage so I guess we would start up in NY to learn about their Mohawk culture from their father's side then over to Europe to visit and learn in just about every Northern European country..lol. I am Irish, Scotch and German, My husband is a little of just about everything else though all you have to do is look at him to see that he is mostly Norwegian minus the fact that he has that touch of Mohawk that has left him with a lot less facial and body hair then any European. I guess after that I would love to go to the Middle east and Asia.

The last time I traveled was in 1996, when i went to Sydney to visit my cousins. After my grandpa was ill then passed away, the birth of my nephew and now my grandma is getting weaker, we never think about traveling again. but still I hope someday I can travel the world, but before that, I want to travel around Indonesia first, because there are so many beautiful places here that we rarely know. After traveling my country, this is the list: 1. Mecca,Saudi Arabia-I hope someday I can perform minor hajj ritual or called"umroh"with my parents 2. Australia-I want to visit my cousins again, see the Opera House etc 3. Canada and the USA-I haven`t been to Canada and the USA yet. I want to see the White House and Liberty Statue. 4. China-I want to see how China has developed from its big cities like Guangzhou, Shanghai etc. I want to see the Great Wall and some historical places 5.Singapore-small and clean city. I also have a cousin there. Besides this list, I also want to travel around Europe and Latin America countries. I also want to visit some Asia countries which are so exotic like Thailand, India, Vietnam. Wish I had lots of money to make it come true.

Good list you have , but I'm afraid to tell you that here in Japan under the cherry trees there are only noisy drunkards -go when it rains, no drunkards and the flowers look as beautiful!-. If I had all of the money in the world I would visit every country without exception. I have always dreamt of visiting every single place in the world, but I have no money or time to do so, so if I could it would be a really wonderful experience!

I love going to different places here and abroad. however, when I have got a serious illness, i got scared of traveling particularly to far places. If God would allow me to live more years, I would definitely visit these travel destinations: 1. Hongkong- I have been to HK for several times already. I soo love this place. It's like my second home. 2. Paris, France - Would love to see the famous Eiffel Tower and experience how is it like to live in Paris. 3. Japan- I would like to taste authentic Japanese cuisine and discover the newest gadgets out in the market :D 4. Carribean - Though I don't know how to swim, I still consider myself a beach buff :p 5. Italy- I would like to visit Italy with my partner-in-life.
