For over 2 months there isn't a single drop of rain pouring into our place, it has been so hot that heat strokes are common problems here. But this morning it is raining. I'm so glad and the rain isn't that hard but just the typical rain with white clouds and a cool breezing atmosphere. I hope it stays like this for a week or so. I don't want to get out of my bed because the coolness. ^^

My mother and I were talking about this yesterday because it has been so hot these past few weeks. We welcome the rain, as long as it is normal rain and not a torrential downpour. I also hope that this continues for a few more days so that we all get some relief from the summer heat.

i believe too much hot can cause water in the to evaporate, and..well you know the story, it's purely basic science. but ihope more water from the sea would evaporate because it's really killing our plants here. and animals too as seen in the news.

hi nykel88 Oh my it must have been like heaven to have a cooling rain
even if it was just a typical rain ,as it would really make things so'
much more comfortable. I have read that the Philippines is having a very
hot summer there, but of course its a tropical climate so guess that goes'with the territory. On the plus side I bet you do grow a lot of
delicious fruits and veggies that even here in California we may not
'be able to grow. Of course my tummy is telling me its time for my
snack to prevent middle of the night low blood sugar. We have had more rain here in California this winter than in a number of years so hope our summer will not be as hot and dry as last year was.we had a lot of disastrous wild fires here last summer.

You don't want to get out of bed, so you didn't go to work for a week also? naah kidding the climate is in changing, is this has something connected with the global warming??

Maybe. It is just too hot here. Supposed to be El Niño should have started in late days in February and early March but now it started on Early February. And other thing it shouldn't have lasted that long. usually only 1 and half month but this time its overdue. What now.. Save the ecosystem? We keep on saying and shouting out to other people about this but only 15% of the world cares.. what a pity.

hello nykel,
my grandma called this morning around six and yet i didn't noticed that it rained.no wonder it was so hot most specially when i was sleeping and the fan was set to high tone. i hope the El Nino problem stops on the month of june of july.

Don't you think its kinda weird.. El Niño started earlier than the usual. I mean it was already HOT in the month February and that wasn't supposed to be Hot. That is why March is called Fire prevention Month because El Niño starts that month. Something very wrong to the events and weather changes are already been recorded. This already might be some warning that the earth is SICK and we Humans have been doing this. A price to pay in mother nature..

Saturday night was, for me, the greatest so far because it rained the entire night, and then in the morning it still rained. God really listens our prayers. If only we pray united and fervently that El Niño will end as soon as possible. I hope that every one of us will be serious in asking for rain and for God's forgiveness and mercy because we are the sole cause of the craziness that's happening in our world.

Yeah if that has been prolonged I guess I could experience the cool breeze but in our place I think it rained little since when I went out of the house the roads were not as wet as it was. I guess it evaporated fast because of the heat that was stored or the soild just absorbed that water so fast that it is now dry again.

Yeah, it was nice when I heard that upon waking up. It was a nice feeling and when I got out to see our wet backyard, it just reminded me such a refreshing feeling. (^^ )
Good thing it didn't rain when I was going to work though.. That would've made it really hard for me (^_^")

yes nykel, it really rained today. and though it is not strong or lasted for long, it still helps to lower the temperature in the place. i hope the weather will continue to be this way for a longer time, considering that it is summer now and el niño is still present.

You aren't alone with the lack of rain this year because we haven't had very much at all this year. I don't honestly want it to rain but I know that we really need the rain. What I have been enjoying about the fact that we haven't had a lot of rain this year is the fact that I've been able to take the kids to the park and for outdoor activities that we wouldn't ordinarily have the opportunity to do during this part of the year. It will rain eventually, and I know that we need it, but until it does rain, I'm not going to complain too much.

Yeah it was great, I almost wanted to stick out my tongue to taste the rain. I hope my crazy naked moonlit rain dance will also work the next time I do it ^o^

I had wished for that rain for months already. It's too hot and too dry and people are getting sickly. Plants look so bad already. And this kind of weather is affecting too much our daily activities and generally our economic situation. I hope it will rain more. It's hard to handle the heat anymore. Electricity bills will surely get huge..and farm products are greatly affected already.
