Hi there, Cloud computing is basically the model of sharing resources via the Internet. It's like the on-demand TV version of the net. Rather than installing software on a PC you can simply open the application via the web. You are effectively utilising remote access technology to use applications based elsewhere from your location. It's rather like localised intranets whereby dumb terminals are used to access a central server containing all the programs. There are many companies in recent years that allow users to purchase their software as a download rather than a hard copy on a disc, the technology has simply moved on again and allows the user to access without having to install the software.
