A friend of mine is complaining that her wife has this kind of addiction that she don't give time to her husband as well as their child. The situation is like this, the wife wakes up in early in the morning to read/watch online until 9am,her work starts at 10am, then she'll go to work and get home at around 7-8 pm then after taking their dinner without even changing her clothes she'll go back in front of her computer to do her things again until early morning, so basically she only has 3 hours of sleep.they already talked about a few times but after just 2-3 days she'll go back to this habit again.
My friend is really confused now and always mad about about this because its also causing trouble to their child.Their child will only sleep if both of them are in the bed and lying down, but because of this their son can't sleep and is waiting for the mother to lie down until the child will just fall asleep around 1-2 am...
What do you think he should do about it, can you give me advise that i can also give their family to make things better for them...

Just tell your friend to help his wife overcome that weakness. There should also be a compromise between the wife and the husband so if ever the addiction is coming back then they can cope with it. Its just an addiction so they can still help it. Im pretty sure his wife needs him in times like that when something need to be overcame. He should never give up on her.

Hi.
Does your friend have any clue what his wife does with the computer, working, playing games, chatting or doing other things? In my opinion, your friend should figure out why she spends so much time with the computer. Anyway, listening is the most important thing as well as understanding. Besides, family gatherings and parties may be a good idea that can distract her from the computer.
Wish you all the best!

Well, I don't know if this suggestion is proper. I think they can make a deal with each other, your friend and their child share the comics and videos with her together at certain time, like between 8pm and 9pm, in return, she lulls the child to sleep. Maybe she can go back to the computer after they fall asleep.

yup just those two things, reading comics and watching videos...oh and she's collecting them.everything she reads or watch...she downloads them all...i told him before why not just cut off their internet connection since it was the start of their problem temporarily...he said he can't do it because its her wife who opened the account and is paying for their internet bill...

i'm sort of like this but not as bad...but its ok for me because i'm 22 and have no partner or have children so i dont have people relying on me. I think the husband needs to first see if its just programmes she is watching because it could be a cover for something else.

I think you may try to understand your wife to her responsibility for you and your child.. i think.. it is right to give some times for her enjoying.. but it is bad.. if she gave her all time to read comics and watching videos.. but as you say that now your wife are addicted of this.. so i think it is very very hard to her compromise with her time..

Haha.HI anurag just want to clarify that it's not my wife but a close friend of mine got this problem.Well i believe my friend is giving her much time for her enjoyment but recently it got out of hand resulting to this addiction and actually according to him her wife started her addiction when they finally decided to have a postpaid unlimited internet connection because before they we're just prepaid, they only pay when they use the connection and it was if i recall it right he said almost 3 months ago.
