I believe, whatever we do (good and lawful), if the intention is to please God, so we have indeed achieved our purpose here in the world. note: submission to God doesn't necessarily mean we have to pray to Him all the time. Everything we do, we devote it to Him (even things we usually do like eating, sleeping, working etc.) as long as it is good, lawful and beneficial, He will reward us...

mine, i think is to help other people and to take care of his animal creatures.

For everyone there is a purpose in life, whether or not one believes in God. I think that, for everyone, that purpose is spelled out in every religion: to be companionable to our brothers and sisters ("Love thy neighbour") or to help them or give good to them in some way. Some religions put the love of God first, others don't personify God but see our journey here on earth as a way of moving towards a blessed state. Whatever road you happen to be on, however, one is on a journey towards a shining mountain in company with others and it is through our love and kindness to our fellow travellers that we transmit that idea of light to others till we become so transparent that the light shines through us.

i have heard people say that I/he/she is a burden on earth with hardly anything worthy to do or contribute. In india there is a belief that everything is based on karma or past deeds. We are on earht because of our past acts and we live our lives accordingly. Good past karmas will bring good life and vice versa. So we all have a purpose on earth. Like u it gives me immense satisfaction to help others and to see a smile on their face. May be thats why am here
