Are you scared of blood?

Hi there, my dear.:-) I really can't say that I am afraid of the blood per se. There were times when I get wounded and I didn't mind the blood gushing out of my wound. It was the pain that bothers me. But there were also times when I fainted at the very sight of my own blood. The wound was not deep and the blood wasn't much but I fainted anyway. I wasn't sure what made me faint but it is definitely not out of fear.

Hello there. I'm not actually scared of blood but I'm weak of seeing lots of bloods like Emergency cases, road accidents and operations. When i was still studying I almost fainted when a vehicular accident victims rushed in the hospital where i was on duty and assigned to clean the wounded area which is the head part. What happened to me i feel like vomiting, my face numb, i hear no sounds and my vision was affected and my classmates noticed it that i look pale and about to faint.

No, I've never been scared of blood, mine or someone else's. I'm a first responder, so I've seen my fair share of blood, never really bothered me. Cut my self to the bone, right below my index finger, palm side. Was going to finish the job I was doing, but my ex told me to go wash the dirt off. When the cold water hit it, it really started bleeding.....took 12 stitches at the ER. My ex was okay as long as it wasn't his blood lol.

Yes, sort of. I am diabetic and I need to monitor my blood sugar regularly. pricking is really tiring and i feel like crying sometimes. imagine, i would be doing the same thing for the rest of my life.. awwww.. :( anyway, that's life. maybe that's God's plan for me..

I know what you are talking about. I have never been scared of blood as such. But sometimes it does happen that even when I have a cut, I don't realize it till I see blood. Then I do feel like OMG its bleeding. It's a strange feeling then. But otherwise I am not afraid of blood. I did have a friend who used to almost faint when she looked at blood oozing.

Ohh yeah I am really scared of blood. That is the reason why I did not take any medicine course. Once I saw blood I would as much possible try not to look at it and if I look at it, sometimes I would vomit or faint. I dont know why I reacted like that. But no matter how I control it, no matter how would I think that I wont vomit or got fainted. I just could not do it.

if you asked me that question 5 years ago, i would have answered yes! i am scared of blood! i dislike it! :D it made me faint once in my life (when i saw mine gushing out of my finger after i accidentally sliced it to the bone with a cutter). but that was 5 years ago.. because of my profession, i have learned, not to love blood, but at least to get used to it. i am a nursing graduate and i have seen a lot of blood in my lifetime. maybe more than you can imagine. at first i didnt know how i could ever survive this blood-filled course. but see, i made it! now, i dont mind seeing blood anymore. but if they come from my own body, im not sure if i still wouldnt mind...

I would not say I am completely scared of blood. Just that I am made extremely uneasy about the presence of blood. When it appears, it just bothers me for some reason. Now I do admit that this is only when the blood comes from me. From anyone else, not really bothered as much. Still, when the blood comes from me, I am highly unnerved, but not terrified. There is just something uneasy about it. Now this is my own blood. I guess for some reason the blood of others does not bother me. Unless it is a completely gruesome injury, but that's a special guess. Normal bloodflow(if there is something a thing as normal bloodflow) from other people, not so much. I guess there is just something else about the blood coming from me that causes me a great deal of discomfort.

Hi,there.i am afraid of blood so much.Every time I see blood I feel uncomfortable and scared.But I don't like someone who faints at the sight of blood.And maybe I am different from others.I just feel sacred when I see other's bood,and when I see blood of myself I never have that feeling.It's a little strange somehow.I don't know the reason.

No I dont mind blood. I dont like to see gaping wounds though . Even on TV if it is someones broken arm with a bit sticking out or anything ,it is a quite nasty feeling to see it. I am much braver about my own injuries than about seeing other peoples.

Nope im not scared with blood. For me its a natural thing to see when i get bruises. Its already natural for me not to get scared since my mom works in a hospital. When i was a kid she used to bring me there and saw some of her patients bleeding. I guess i was used to it. Whenever i see blood my first reaction is to cure it right away and stop the bleeding. I guess blood will be the last thing to scare me off.

I'm not scared of blood ever since childhood days. I'm thankful to God on that area. When i see blood especially from wound I would immediately like to stop the blood that flows. Especially now that i know how to stop blood from flowing as what we have learned from our first aid training. The more i'm not afraid of blood. I think it is just a matter of mind setting...Put it in your mind that you will be not be afraid of blood anymore...

yeah i am scared of blood, when i look at blood i feel a little dizzy and then i get scared alot my mind stops working then but i do my best to keep away from hurting myself.

yes,sometimes i scared with blood.that can make me want to vomit.especially if i eating and i see blood suddenly i can stop to eat.but im not a phobia with blood,just normally attitude to face the blood.

I have taken zoology so, I am definitely not scared of blood had to dissect frogs,cats and lots of other animal multiple times. I have been busted open in my head already when I was grade 4. I kept on bleeding and I did not care.
