Like most people, I don't really have an opinion about the country. I haven't been there, know very little, and don't believe all that I hear on TV. Now, the Chinese people that I have met are charming, courteous and fascinating. I would love to learn more about your culture. The west knows about chop sticks, but how many people know that Chinese will not put anything metal in their mouths. Can you tell me why that is? Let me welcome you as a new member and wish you good luck on MyLot.

I met a group of Chinese engineers in Pakistan. We were attending a wedding. Where Pakistanis eat with their hands, Chinese will not. Nor will they put a metal fork or spoon in their mouth. They ate very little by biting gently while balancing a piece of fried chicken on a spoon - very difficult! The translator told me that no metal object can go in the mouth.
