Well, my question is easy how do you make a *GIF image work on myLot. Till recently I have not seen any person using a *GIF image as a avatar. This could possible as I'am a new member but suddenly I saw a bunch of person using *GIF avatars. I aslo got intrested in using it. But when I inserted my image in myLot it doesn't seem to move. Yeah, my image is a motion picture so how do you get it worked properly? It is working fine in my profile page but when I responded to a disscussion the avatar doesn't seem to move. Please tell me how to make it work?

It could be down to either the number of layers in the gif file or more often the file-size. Gif files are often quite large due to the amount of movement and as with most sites Mylot have a restriction, then they compress the image size at upload, to about 256k. This causes many gif files to reduce to a static image.

Thanks, for the info. dude. But to tell you my image does not have high graphics therefore it has less size also it is of about 40.00KB. It is still not moving. Any more advice after reading this comment. :)

Thank you for the question it made me learn something new. Now, first to your question. The simple answer is your avatar's resolution must be within 60x60. I already knew it But what I learned today, your avatar is sized down to this frame if it's not already. Some calculation told me it's done keeping the original ratio. Look here: your avatar on profile page has size 54x66. In discussion pages, 54 is well within limit, 66 is not. So it's scaled down to 60. To keep the ratio intact, 54 goes to (54*60/66)=49! All that ranting aside (thanks if you read it), simply resize your avatar image and then use it again. One more thing, this question is already asked many times since I joined. Duplication is not allowed here, you know. But you are lucky I couldn't find a single one which had given the right answer
