I decided its about time to upgrade my phone. The last phone I bought was back in December 2008. Touch screen was still a bit expensive back then. Now there are a lot of affordable touch screens with wifi and I am planning to upgrade my phone. I am not really particular with the capability of its camera. I am more concerned about the user friendliness of the wifi browser and the availability of apps on the net. So far I have seen models from Samsumg, LG, and Sony Ericson which are quite affordable and are full of features. I hope you can offer some suggestions cause I am really not that updated with phones anymore.

Ya now touch screen cell phone had become cheap. If your mobile purpose is 90% business use then opt for blackberry or some qwerty type mobile in nokia.

I've been looking at those phones and as for me I think they are not practical for me. Although I could afford one I just think buying one of those phones are beyond my needs. They are just to much features in those phones that I wont use or don't know how to use.lol But thanks for the suggestion.

Hello,
Andyvil,I bought n86 last month and it is the best all over but it is not a touchscreen phone and did not want touch screen as they sucks and not work after a 6 -7 months.Ok if u want a good phone without touch then go for n86 as it is wifi phone and 8 mp and if u want touch with wifi and budget dosent matter then go for nokia n97,htc and samsung.
Want some more info then go to gsmarena.com or fonearena.com.
Good Luck.

I suggest you buy a Sony Ericson Satio or xperia. But I really like satio. It has a 12.1 megapixel camera. I think the only smartphone that has one. It's touchscreen, also a music phone and really cool. Try searching the specs and features over the net.

iphone is very popular, but however very expensive, nokia do some good phones, and blackberry, also t-mobile here in the UK do have the new G2 phone which is popular, I have a friend in america who has one and she loves it. Personally as much as I like touchscreens, if you are like me and like to text, dont bother buying one, because it takes me so long to type out a text via touch screen I much prefer to txt faster on the normal type of phone.

You know those touch ones are getting cheaper and cheaper and more available from all types of brands. The only one I really like though is the iphone. It is so user friendly and I really think that is why a lot of people have it. I I think you should do more research and just get one that you know will perform as you want it to. But the other option is to wait a bit longer for some price reductions and or sales.

The iPhone would be the very best when it comes to the availability of the applications and the browser is actually the best (in my personal experience). THe camera is totally a downer but you may also wait for the next generation iPhone which would have an updated camera which is already a good and acceptable one but if you find it expensive then you could also go for the older models but the camera is just below the average one.
