Juggling

I was a stay at home mom for almost 4 years. A couple of months ago I went back to work, part time. It has been a difficult adjustment. I miss being with my son all the time. I miss having the time to cook dinner every day. I miss being able to take my time and make my own schedule. On the other hand, I enjoy being around adults more often. I like having a reason to look nice. I like that my son is around other children his age during the day while I am at work. I like that we are doing better financially with me working. But I still feel like I am juggling and if I make a mistake I'll drop everything. Anyone else have a difficult time adjusting to going back to work? How did you handle it? Does it get easier?

all you can do is your best. dont beat yourself up too much, just be the best mom you can. my kids are teens and i wish i was still home with them (my baby is 13) and so does she but i only work part time so its not too bad.

Thanks, Cher. I know that my son has fun and really craves the social interaction he gets in daycare, especially since he is an only child. But I still miss him and have a hard time with it, especially on those days when he cries when I drop him off.
