The only explanation I know and trust is how the bible explains how sin existed. According to the bible it entered mankind because of adam and eve. As adam and eve's descendants we inherited the sin they have committed for being rebellious.

Rebellion?! OK let's see then... Adam blames Eve... Eve blames the Serpent... The Serpent blames God... and you can always blame the fruit itself... but when it really comes down to it after eating the fruit the first discovery was "Shame" in hiding ones own bodily parts... so the ultimate blame lies with "The Mind" as it has from the beginning... we are our own worst enemies with our ability to discriminate and distinguish & is that so bad??? So the blame game is totally ridiculous to explain the concept of mistakes or as you'd say SIN??!! Just don't eat of the fruit GOD said...LMAO!! This is so substandard... as this story appeals to simple minds and village idiots but then again... "Sometimes stupid people have to be taught what is good... And good people have to be taught what is stupid." :-

As what you have said it is " blame", and that is humans attitude, not easy to accept error always need some one to be blame, but in the bible story the sin begin from the word disobey,Adam and Eve was given the low not to eat the fruits of knowledge of good and bad and they know the result if they will disobey God, the word "disobedience" the beginning of Sin...

Poor choices... as if circumstance and environment have no dictating powers of there own. Okay so I give up... it's as simple as a "yes/no" answers and we all decide "I am this or that" or "I am not this or that" how basic of a reality this is :( If obedience or disobedience is all to learn from then why even have a life?! Free-will in a boundless system aye?

sin or mistakes exist as an inheritance and stimulus to an otherwise useless vehicle.

to sin is just to make a mistake and nothing more. When you sin it is just going against a principle you know to be true or not known... nothing more than ignorance. However it isn't a source of problem... it's a solution to being stuck in a condition not understood and discoveries need to be made in some sort of way... after-all how could you test imperfection in supposed perfections. According to the Devil his only sin was his unhappiness for whatever reason be it. What then did he do... Create a Democracy and supposedly his sin or ignorance if you will was to begin anew. Now instead of a Utopia you have something called Earth. LOL. if the reverse of (sin = problems) were to be (perfection = solutions) then I ask what value there would be in having to do no work at all. There is a very interesting story written by PD. Ouspensky entitled "The Benevolent Devil" in his book "Talks with a Devil" I have the PDF. I can email to you if you want. Story is Amazing as it describes the purpose of a Devil or as you might say Sin itself.

Everything in this world was created by God in perfect harmony. But his creations with intelligence (angels and humans) he gave freedom of will; that is, freedom to love God and follow his will in their lives and existence or not.
Sin enters as a result of willful decisions to choose not to love God, and instead to love oneself. That includes believing that oneself is greater and more powerful than God. More powerful and greater, because we can choose not to follow his will and not to love him. That's when sin happened.
Sin is simply a rebellion to the harmonious order based on love that God created. We sin when we follow what we want to do, and not what God wants us to do, in the belief that we can exist without God. So as a creature we sin once we believe that we create ourselves and no other being more powerful than us but ourselves. How else could we explain our decision to not follow God's harmonious design? We seen because we insist that we are stronger and powerful than the God who created us.
So those sins against the ten commandments are mere reflections of these basic human arrogance before God. Of course, we may have been tempted by the Devil. But in the end, we make the critical "Yes" to that temptation.
All these problem around us? It is because of us who chose ourselves over God. Sin is just a name for that.
