to all lawyers out there...is deed of donation a safe instrument in transfering?

Hi! I need any body's advice. I am now helping a friend whose mother is very sick. The mother has a property which she wanted to give to her daughter. The mother has three kids but this property is really intended for her daughter who is my friend. Is the deed of donation a strong instrument which the other siblings can not contest later? Please your suggestion is very much welcome. The mother is very old and sickly. She wanted to place the properties in order to avoid problems later on, on the inheritance.
