You can distinguish an Italian spaghetti from a Filipino spaghetti. For one thing, a Filipino spaghetti has a sauce which is really sweet and tomato sour. I use to place a half can of condensed milk in my tomato sauce to make it sweet. I also place some herbs like basil and oregano to make it a little bit Italian. My family loves a sweet spaghetti sauce. How about you? Which one do you like?-)))

My Filipino taste buds make me go for the sweet pasta.. If I remember right, I posted a discussion before about adding white cream and condensed milk to a spaghetti sauce. Someone (who obviously is not a Filipino) responded and was shocked to know that we do spaghetti sauce that way. He said that cream and sweetened milk are not part of the ingredients of a spaghetti! Well, I told him it's only in the Philippines that we do what we do. Besides, we Filipinos are unique even when it comes to food.

I really like pasta too and adding cream and condensed milk to spaghetti sauce is fine. Yeah! some Filipinos doesn't like to spaghetti with condensed milk in it. But I do like the taste well, maybe I am not picky in terms of food whuahh....

My favourite sauce is definitely not one that is sweet. I like something like a nice tomato and basil sauce, nice and simple to make yet delicious when served hot with well cooked spaghetti.

i also like the Filipino style of spaghetti and i also use condensed milk when i cook it but i don't like it too sweet. i like it with a very little spiciness that is not much noticeable so i sometimes put pepper. i have a friend who likes it really spicy. she put red chilly on it (the labuyo).
