I recently bought a laptop, and had been searching for an internet provider. I finally went with a mobile broadband service from my cell phone provider. The modem just came about an hour ago, and I'm already connected to the internet. I can't believe how fast it is compared to dialup. What kind of internet do you have?

Hi Bd200789, it's nice to know that you have owned a personal laptop as well as having connection with fluent and rapid speed. Really dialup system is extremely slow. The charge is expensive as well. But I still depended on it for we didn't have any other internet service earlier
I shirt to broadband internet service when it's available in my place three years back. I'm really happy after having this new service as it's really fast to get on to the web I wish. I only feel disastified the network service would disconect sometimes especially when having post loading
Happy posting

Congratulations on having the new broadband line.
So, do you think it's much faster as compared to the dial up?
I'm using ADSL broadband to connect to Internet. It's kinda fast, but it also depends on the service provider. Sometimes, the connection can be quite slow. But it's faster than the dial-up. Sometimes when I went to my parents' house where there is no ADSL line subscribed, then I have to use the dial-up service to connect to Internet, it's kinda slow.
I am thinking of getting a mobile broadband service too, so that I can easily connect to Internet wherever I go.
Hope you'll enjoy your mobile Internet connection experience.

The only connection available in my area is dial-up. I would love something faster, but I can't get it. You are very lucky you can get high speed where you are. I love to go online when I visit my daughters. They both have high speed and it's wonderful.

Hi Bd200789,
Good to heard that you have your own internet connection now. And since you are using lap top, you can get connected anywhere as long as there is a signal for the connection.
I also using broadband as the medium to connect to internet. I have 3kbps and it is fast enough for me. The problem is its has a limit of 5 gigabytes of download per month. I usually reach it in a matter of a few days. After that, everything is slow and my broadband usage would be restricted especially during peak hours. It is very unfair for me but I did not have many choices because most of the internet providing company has the same sets of rules and regulations regarding this here.

Well I'm using a DSL line in my house and a E1 at work. DSL is worth getting if your on your house surfing the net. Broadband is also ok but much slower than DSL and have to reload when you used up all of it's balance load but is ok for mobile net surfer.
