I loved to shoot on film and to developed it myself! But with the improvement of the quality of the digital cameras I stopped using film few years ago. Last month I sold my Mamiya RZ67 ProII which I was still keeping in my studio. Probably I will never shoot on film anymore!

YES! I'm 22 and I'm crazy over film cameras. I started out with digital photography but I got myself a Holga which started my obsession over vintage film cameras. Film photography is expensive, especially for a student like me, but I love the creative process involved and I love how you can use cheap, expired, or otherwise sucky film to get great results. Right now, I'm scouring ebay for more cameras to buy for my collection. I make sure I can use them (35mm or 120) since I love shooting with fil =m so much. One of my dream cameras is a actually a Mamiya Pro!

I still use film every now and then. I love the look you can get with film and sometimes it's a look you just can't capture with a digital camera. My favorite film camera is a Holga and I love the vintage look and feel that film produces in those cameras. I mainly use a digital camera now, but I do go back to film and it's a shame it's so hard to find decent film in stores now.

It's been quite sometime since I last used my camera with film. . I have been using my digital camera since I started having this. It is much more convenient and cheaper to use a digital camera. I can take many pictures using my digital camera and it's a lot more fun to have great and many poses.

Honestly I do kind of miss the film days but at present it's quite impractical to use. But I did keep my old camera in case I wanna do it old school.

The last time I shot with film camera was with a disposable film camera. We bought that camera because we can use it underwater for our snorkeling.. Because I still can't afford the special case for my digital camera.. haha

I haven't used a film camera in about 7 years. I started out with a 35 mm and also developed my own film and pictures, I always loved being in the dark room. Christmas of '07 I was given a Nikon D40 DSLR and I love it. I have 2 lenses with it. I wouldn't go back to film now for nothing. Not only that, if you have film you better use and get it developed, that processing will end in 2011. Just goes to show, everyone is switching to digital cameras. I love the pictures I get with mine, the close-ups are excellent quality.

The last time that I actually took any pictures with a film camera was when I got married almost six years ago, so it has been a very long time. When I picked up my first digital camera I was in love because it was so convenient. I don't have to limit the number of pictures that I take because I can later delete them if they don't turn out to my expectations. This to me is a great way to save money in the long run.

Not really, but I have several films left which I've planned to use at some point. I keep them cold so they're still OK but I can't decide what to use them for. I have to take pictures of something that I know I want printed copies of. I've got no idea what to do with my film cameras afterwards. The best film SLR I have is better than the digital SLR, so it's a bit annoying to use it. It's faster, makes less noise, smoother controls etc. *grumble* It always makes me want to upgrade my DSLR *sigh*

films are so old school lol. i don't know how long i've stopped using films. when i was in uni and we still used films in photography class. DSLRs just came out for a year then so they costs a fortune!
but i'm glad the tech caught up and became more affordable. because the rolls of films needed to be developed and then printed is not cheap. i think people who still uses films should start using a digital if they want to save money. unless they are a film fan.

I don't have the fancy cameras that you other folks seem to have, but my cheap point and shoot digital camera is certainly better than any film camera I had in the past. I noticed on "Americas Next Top Model" that everyone uses digital cameras too, so if it's good enough for the professionals, we shouldn't complain.
My doubts lie in the "next" technological advance. Where, or on what, will we store our pictures? CD's are already almost gone and DVD's will follow soon. Blue "whatsits" will come soon! Yes, what is next?
