What's with the glee craze?

I think there is just a re-popularization of musicals now. I mean High School Musical and Hannah Montana were phenomenons and I think Glee is riding on that same wave. Glee is a lot better artistically, and it's a little more mature (because there's teen pregnancy, more sexiness, etc.) than High School Musical, but it is definitely not for everyone.

I'm a music lover. That's what keeps me glued to glee, there are songs where they do good covers. Plus, there's some comedy in it like when Brit (the dumb blonde cheerleader) said that "dolphins are g_y sharks" hahaha...

We stumbled upon this show last night, and my 3-year old son loves it. I think he just likes all the singing. He even dances to some of the songs. The only thing that bothered me about the show was the obvious lip syncing. I know that it's taped and all, it being a TV show, but why shouldn't it be real singing by the characters? I don't get it. Maybe I'm just too old.

ok i'm just an average guy. spends time in front of a computer for way too long. i appreciate music but i'm not someone who knows everything about music.. just the stuff that become a hit on the internet. i'm 28 but i find glee very entertaining. not a slow drama.. not too heavy. very funny. somewhat different and fresh style of storytelling. similar to high school musical but just in genre. glee is it's own world i guess. the characters are probably too.. odd maybe just try to watch an episode. you might like it.

well the dating drama on the show is a bit too much for me but other than that it is actually a good show. I think the reason I like it is because the humor is pretty funny and i like to watch them singing. If your into that than you will probably like it =]

Glee is like a musical television show, but much better than high school musical. I've been also hooked in this show. Now that season 2 is airing, I go home as early as possible to catch the 8pm airing at jack tv. :D I love the song & the performance as well. I love rachel and kurt!

its like a teenaged soap opera and my 17 year old daughter LOVES it, probably because she is a singer.

I personally don't care for Glee but I can see why other people would. The kids on that show are great singers and dancers, but it takes more than great singing and dancing to hold my attention. I like a great and morally uplifting story. I watched a few of the episodes, and then quit because I couldn't stand the story line. If your friends have similar tastes, then you're probably right in assuming you might not like it. If you're not sure, then check it out for yourself and develop your own opinion. You don't have to watch it just cause everyone else does.
