Yes there is Grat, but it wouldn't be from the comfort of your own home. Requirements that are needed are a wireless card for your desktop or a laptop which is wireless and you can pick up signals all over the place. You can get online as long as you don't need a passphrase which you will have to type in when it asks for it. If you know the people who have the router then you can ask them for their password and maybe they would give this to you. Have a great night

Indeed you are right, you need wireless connection for you to pick up signals all over the place for you to have internet without any cause and if there are no restrictions at all.

Bear in mind that you may not be getting really free Wifi Internet connection. There are people who purposely let their wireless network seemingly unprotected. Your online activities could actually be tracked. Your password(s) could be compromised. The information gained by the administrator of the network is far more valuable than the value of allowing you to use the network. You have been reminded.

In theory, and in most cases, they can track you down using the electronic trail you left behind. The proxy server will be detected first, and your real IP next. This is possible because the proxy server has a record of your real IP, otherwise you would not get far on the Internet.

When my husband and I were living somewhere else, we took our laptop and booted it up and was able to connect to the internet free of charge. The signal was not always the best, but it was possible to get connectivity. You have to have a wireless card though, this card will bounce off of routers around you and this way you can use the internet as well. I don't know how legal this is, but I don't think it's illegal either.

Hi Grat15. If you have wireless service you can connect to the Internet for free. You can pick a hot spot like at a motel or hotel. If someone nearby has a signal you can access the Internet via their connection. If someone in your home has a router, the Internet signal can pick up too.

Haha.I'm guilty! And that is true, specially in the third world countries. Before I got my legal broadband connection just a few months ago I was using "tricks" as they are called to connect to the internet. There are many ways to avoid detection online for free internet. and there are many website out there shows how to bypass servers specially in the 3.5g technology using phone as a modem or usb stick. And i'm still using those "tricks" in my phone when i'm away from my computer.

Before wifi, there were a handful of internet service providers that offered a limited plan for people to go online for free. I know NetZero is still around, but I believe most of the others aren't. Wifi is definitely the better way to go(if you are able to find a hot spot in your area.)
