Yeah, i also think it's strange that there's been quite a lot of major earthquakes recently. But it's part of nature. But as to the prediction of an earthquake occurring in the Philippines next month, I don't think there's really something scientific about it as earthquakes just simply can't be predicted. It's better to be prepared though.

Oh, it's terrible that frequent earthquakes occured around the world this year. China was hit by another deadly quake, on the heels of ones in Mexico, Taiwan, Chile and Haiti. I can't help feeling a twinge of worry after these cataclysms, especially at the prospect of the scenes from the sci-fi movie 2012.

echo53 earthquakes are all nature you can't prevent it thats the world and how it functions so you got to move out of the places with earthquakes and move to the states where no earthquakes usually happen

These natural phenomena have happened in the past and will continue in the future.I don't think this is an omen of the world coming to an end 2012.These quakes are bound to happen wherever there are fault lines and can't be prevented. The best thing is to ask seismologists and scientists for advise regarding potential earth quake prone areas and build houses and habitats which are capable of withstanding these severe earthquakes which are likely to cause devastation.

Everyone says that earthquakes cannot be predicted but I think there are some clues if you look in the right places. I don't know where the Philippines fit into the scheme but I have noticed that after a China or Taiwan quake, another can be expected in Italy, Greece, Turkey area. Then again in the orient, as if the world is rocking on a 2 week cycle. I don't go for 2012 though.

I think it's something usual happen for us who live in southeast Asia, it because the plates is vulnurable to earthquake. I live in Indonesia, one of the most vulnerable place to have an earthquake. Talking about the end of the year on 2012, it could just be happen because earthquake is one of the many signs of the doomsday.
