THe issue is this-
I need to withdraw my paypal money to my bank account in India. In the month of FEBRUARY, I had made attempts to verify my account by following the instructions. Paypal says that it has sent two amounts for credit and debit in my bank account and that I need to fill in this as the final step.[this seems to be their verification method].
Now the problem here is that I have not seen any entry of credit and debit in my bank account so far.
Now, if I withdraw my amount , will it get transferred to my bank account?
Have any of you withdrawn money after SUCH unsucessful attempts at verificaton?
[I had withdrawn money last year but then I did not attmept to verify my account. Now I am caught in a no man's land because this window pops in asking me to enter the amounts sent to the bank.
I had sent a mail to paypal but I have not received any reply on this issue. I am sending a mail once again today. If I get a reply, I shall tell you later.
Please share your experiences here.

Thank you Yugasini.Interestingly, once when I logged in i t asked me for my PAN no and the moment I wrote it it rejected it asking me to fill in 10 digit again despite my writing a 10 digit number. After a few days it got right by otself and when I entered the number it accepted it.Members hav e come out with helpful suggestions and Kiran also said that I shoudl try again because when she tried they sent the test amounts again.
I am waiting till tomorrow for further action on this.I will let you know if it is alright.

If paypal is saying they have sent the small amounts, the details can be seen in paypal account. You can then check to which bank they have sent the money. I am sure the monies have gone elsewhere, or you have not given the bank NEFT number correctly. Please check again, and follow the link of verification carefully. Good luck.

I have had a recent "horror" story from Paypal. It was from my own stupidity(?) possibly but my funds are still missing.
You see I entered in the wrong account number for a withdrawal. From what I understand if a user enters in a wrong account number, the bank will reject the withdrawal and return the funds to Paypal, they would then contact me about the returned funds and charge me P250 for their trouble. They said that it could take one week for banks to contact them regarding returned funds, so I waited. After more than two weeks with no funds on my bank account, no returned funds on my paypal account, and no email notification on my inbox I contacted both my bank and paypal following up on the withdrawal. Paypal said that the transaction was completed and the bank did not reject the funds. My bank says that they have actually rejected the withdrawal a day after I withdrew the funds and so it was returned to Paypal. My bank did include in the email the transaction entry on their record showing my details, the amount, date, and the status which was "rejected".
I forwarded this email to Paypal and they just reiterated (like in one of their previous emails) that it would be best if I call their number for further discussion of this issue or if I wanted to trace the transaction. This was a good option but international phone bill would cost more than the amount that I wanted to trace so I guess my funds are gone with the wind.
I updated my account number with the correct one and withdrew funds again just to see if I have it right this time or Paypal just doesnt want me to enjoy my earnings. I was nervous about this second attempt and thought that I might not see my funds after all. But after a week of vacation, returning home and checking my bank account, I was relieved to see that I had funds! So I guess its going to work well now. Im still sad about the first withdrawal because I pooled all of my payouts into that one making it a huge amount for me.
Regarding your situation, you did say that you have withdrawn funds last year. Was it successful? If so, then it would be my guess that your funds would still be able to make it into your bank account. If not, then I think you do have to contact Paypal or maybe your bank regarding about your withdrawal transaction. Perhaps it was just not posted or something.
Goodluck with your Paypal transaction. Hopefully you will get all of your hard earned funds. Ill try to search about this and get back to you if I find anything useful.^_^

It is a horror story indeed to lose your hardearned money.I feel bad for you moreso especially because you have accumulated some money to make it decent enough for withdrawal , only to lose it in the end.In my case, I tried withdrawing this money and this got reversed to my bank account in February .Earlier, the tranfers had gone on smoothly though the first time I had operated paypal I had ended up with a penalty .Afetr that with proper codes etc filled, the matter was quite smooth.
THanks for the particiPAtion and for sharing your story.

There seems a missing link bjcyrix. If paypal gets the money rejected by your bank they ought to deduct P250 as per the rule. How can the money reach your bank with the wrong bank number? When it reaches what is the reason the bank rejected the credit? Doesn't jell. Check up with your bank again.

Hope you have given the correct ifsc code of your bank in India. My account is finally verified although I did have to go back and forth several times. The amounts that they will deposit in your account as part of the verification process are very small. You will not be allowed to withdraw unless your account is verified. This is actually in your interest as due to some error it could go into a wrong account.

You may need to wait for almost 6 days for the two initial small amounts to be credited - which is their form of verification; I also waited and initially like you was a bit worried then after I recd and informed them I got a mail from them saying everything OK and I can credit/withdraw from my paypal account.
This verification may be a new added precautionary measure to weed out bogus accounts, so no harm
ALL THE BEST

Acrually what happened wa s that I witdrew money from paypal some 2 months ebfore when it asked me to verify the account.I filled in the account details but after 10 days ir 2 weeks the money got reversed .This was the period of that purpose code/Indian ban restrictions.Later on, what happened was thta a wondow is permanently there telling me to confirm the entry in the bank[there is no nominal amt entry whatsoever] and thsi si the problem here.
Paypal has "deposits sent" label written on top . and the status says it is "unconfirmed".But I have not seen any trial deposit.
As a friend suggested I would have to try again afresh this time .

I've never had the requisite 500$ to withdraw money from Paypal. So, I've never tried to transfer it to my bank account. I'm going to be watching this space for more news and the help you are going to receive...so that it will be of help for me in future when I want to transfer my money.

HHi Sandhya,
For 10 dollars the converted amt shows as 429 rupees + change today.I think they would deduct 50 rs also on top of this.If the witdrawal amount is more than 7000 , then the 50 rupeees is waived.
If you are planning to withdraw small amounts double check your account and also fill in the proper code because if something goes wrong they would charge a penalty in dollars and this would cost us.The first time I withdrew money there was a mistake and I had to pay a penalty of more than 250 rupees.Whatever money we withdraw the penalty is the same .
@kalav56 (11464)

Hi Sandhya, you don't need to have 500 dollars to transfer it.THta is the upper limit for withdrawal for people who have it and need to withdraw 500+ in a month. Now the problem is here even for smaller amounts .I think the Minimum is 10.
In my case, I have been caught in no man's land, because last time a window popped in asking me to verify the account by an easier method[instead of giving our credit card] and after I followed hte instructions it said it has sent some trila amounts for credit and subsequent debit. Now this is where it b ecame a no man's land.
I have not lost any money thta I transferred because it got reversed. But, after thta the new rule of filling in the purpose code has come in.That is also ok, but there is an unecessary box thta asks me to enter the credit and debit amounts sent to my bank.
Anyhow, the matter should get sorted out shortly.Have anice Sunday!

To my knowledge you need to have a Debit or Credit card
to verify your account. You should be able to draw money
without 'verification'. Please send a reminder to paypal,
they will surely respond to your query.

Hi Deepak! Nice to see you amidst us after a long time. I am going to try this withdrawal once again after filling the purpose code.Hope they are satisfied with this .Iw as only concerned about the 10 dollar unnecessary fine in case it gets reversed , because it has got stuck in the midst of verification.I wrote to them and though my money is well within the 500 dollar witdrawal limit they are asking me to verify the account with my card.
Earlier on I had no problems. But last tiem they just aske d me to fill in bank account an dthen the account got stuck.

Paypal is being careful now after the debacle with RBI I guess. I too tried to withdraw my money from paypal to my bank account and I wqas asked to verify the account. This is now done by paypal making 2 small deposits into your bank a/c just a rupee odd ( 1.02 or 1.04)and you are supposed to confirm it by going into your paypal account and immediately they deposit the money and it gets credited to your account within 3-4 working days.It is easy kala and nothing to worry, just that they have added an additional security measure ...

Hi kala, I had withdrawn all my money into my bank accounr just before the RBI - Paypal stand off.But after that I too have not credited my bank account, would like to know how it goes with you. i notice that paypal never ever replies nor acknowledges your mail, which is not a very good thing to do since they get all their earnings and profit through our deposits and withdrawals - all the best kala

Kiran
Actually there was no problem..THis was after the RBI /PAYPAL ban. Once they asked me for my PAN card number and I filled this in. After a few days, I just transferred the money as what I had been doing earlier without any verification[go to"withdraw' and withdraw the money after currency conversion]My money was sent to my savings bank account without any hitch . I had not made any other change in my old account. It was the same as what I used to have earlier when I was successfully wihtdrawing money.

I did face the same situation in the month of February when my amount was credited and debited to paypal a/c and it too did not show any entry into my bank account. After that i logged in to my paypal a/c and it just asked my PAN no.and verified my account.I have just withdrawn funds from my paypal a/c to my bank a/c and i got them after 6 days by filling the purpose code as the new additional requirement to be filled in.
I hope the matter resolves soon or the admin should guide you in the right manner.

Hi kala
Your discussion is very useful to me. As I am having certain doubts in it. So long I have not withdrawn any amount from paypal besides, my account name in the bank is vathsalag and in the paypal it is different, so i do not know whether i can withdraw money or not. After going through your, this discussion, i came to know that i must get verified my account first before withdrawing the amount. so i will do the needful. Once everything is done successfully and money has been withdrawn, i may acquire some knowledge about the subject and about paypal procedures. Then I may be of some use to you

Hi Vathsala,
We can withdraw the money only to our own account with the same name as in PayPal. Regarding verification--For the past two years I have been getting money into my account without verificaton. Now this is slightly different and that is why I had started the discussion topic. Verification is needed only if you have to withdraw more than 500 dollars per month. I did not need this verification at all but this was after the period of that purpose code/Indian ban restrictions in February.
Friends had advised me to go ahead and it got settled. I have resolved this issue. Without verification my amount go t credited. My money was sent to my savings bank account without any hitch .
If you are planning to withdraw small amounts double check your account and also fill in the proper code because if something goes wrong they would charge a penalty in dollars and this would cost us. The first time I withdrew money there was a mistake and I had to pay a penalty of more than 250 rupees. Whatever money we withdraw the penalty is the same

I was not keen on entering my credit card number when the amount was not more than 500 dollars. Only for that verification is needed. So, you double check all the procedures , the IFSC code and then start the transfer process because the penalty is very heavy if some small error is there and the money unnecessarily gets reversed.

What is IFSC Code? with whom we need to check it, Our Bankers? Coz in Mylot while opening an account, they were asking me repeatedly credit card no. and without which i am unable to open any account and the next day being 15th and mylot will credit my first payout. So upto midnight me and my son tried our best to open an account with mylot but failed. finally when mylot is allowing us to affiliate someone else, I asked my son to open one account with paypal and he did as he is having credit card and mobile too. So to that account mylot is crediting my earnings so far.

I should think, No. Because the name of the account holder should match the name of Paypal Account. Further there will be question of e-mail address. Maybe it can be sent as a payment, and not as withdrawal. Very doubtful, though.

I never have any problem of withdrawing money to my bank account. It usually takes 2 -3 days to receive my money from paypal. Do you mean to say your paypal account is unverified? Can they still payout from an unverified account. Usually when I have issue with paypal I will write to them and their reply is almost spontaneous. Yours is a little complicated but am sure you get good advice from members here.

I have also written to them .Last time I wrote and I did not get any reply.Let me wait and see this time.

Hello kalav. The two amounts you mentioned would be very tiny and you should double check to see if they are not there. However, you won't be able to get your Paypal money into your bank account unless you verify that it is your account so you need to sort that out first. Best thing to do is to ring them rather than email if the problem persists. I hope this was helpful.
