What really motivates a person to finally decide to follow the path of the good or the path of the bad? Because somewhere somehow there is something that make the person decide to do what is good or bad? What is that something?

Interesting questions! I would have to say, it is what we love the most. Do we love good or do we love evil. What have we had develop and grow in our hearts. It can also be pressure from others. We allow others to influence us. Thanks for making me think. I will give it more thought.

But people cannot love evil for the sake of evil. Even the very evil people believe that what they do is something good, at least for themselves. There must be something that make a person decide to pursue evil instead of good.

Those who choose evil are deceived, either by the devil or by themselves. They believe that evil is advantageous, that they will receive more benefit by practicing evil. They find out too late how wrong evil is and that they made a bad choice. Or, they prefer evil because they do not want to submit to the good and forget that they are slaves of evil. They deceive themselves.
