what's the sign(s) if your ex still loves you??

it's not that im in love with my ex (LOL)
haha. but im really curious about this
since my bestfriend (girl) still loves her ex-boyfriend
and her ex-boyfriend's acting a little bit weird.
They broke up last january 2009 and until now,
they don't have their NEW LOVELIFE.
sometimes, her ex-bf shows something that would
make us all think that he still loves her but sometimes,
he'll just talk with our friends (because we are in the same
group of friends. ME and my bestfriend and her ex-boyfriend)
about the beautiful girls (but i don't know if it's his crushes
coz he never mentioned the word CRUSH)
and now, my bestfriend's going crazy thinking about THEIR
CHANCE! haha. im tired talking to her too but i know,
I can't just leave her alone. :)
so any tips?

I am not really sure with the ex-boyfriend's actions. It's either, he might still like your bestfriend or he is just being selfish. Selfish, in the sense that he doesn't want your bestfriend to date other men, but just continue to like him, it doesn't necessarily mean that he still likes her. Because if he really did like her, he wouldn't wait for a year or so to get back with her. I am saying this because I experienced it once with my ex, he was acting strange, acting like he liked me, but he had other girls with him.
Or maybe, he still likes her but just too shy to admit it. Guys tend to talk about girls often, and it doesn't necessarily mean that they are inlove or have a crush on the girl. It is their nature.
So i am also confused.. lol. But based on your observation and my thoughts, maybe you could better judge them.

yes. that's what i am thinking too. there was an instance when it's the ex-boyfriend's birthday (5 months after the break up). We all went to the mall to watch a cinema and at the cinema the boy requested to sit beside my bestfriend but my bestfriend's an insane so she ignore the request and sat beside me (it's because she's shy and she doesn't want to show that she still likes the guy). and when we ordered our food at the restaurant, the boy ordered the exact meal that my bestfriend ordered (since he heard my bestfriend's order) and after that, the boy teased himself with my bestfriend (saying "wow. we still have the same taste. i guess we're really for each other). but again, my bestfriend's crazy. SHE IGNORED US (who are teasing).
OMG. this is really a problem. If I were them, I would just easily shout "I STILL LOVE YOU"
LOOOOOOOOOL.

I agree with kharlav, don't play too hard to get or there'll be regrets. It's best to be truthful to ourselves as well as to others with regards to feelings. No one is a worm inside us so unless we let our true feelings be known, the other isn't going to know and may just misinterpret.

really?.. indeed. your bestfriend is crazy. I think he still likes your bestfriend. I think it is time to end the "hard to get" act and start acting how she really feels because it has already been a year. Doesn't she think that its already too long to act hard to get?... Maybe the ex already felt that he doesn't have a chance with the girl again because of her actions, that he felt that your bestfriend doesn't like him anymore. Its okay to play hard to get but playing it too much is not good. Your bestfriend my just end up feeling guilty when the ex will find another girl.

well it only shows that the two (2) of you are mean to each other...wow you belong with each others arm just feel the love you both feel. because i believed you also have feeling to him..if not., or if you are not sure then continue your life with your new boyfriend if there is.
