Do you think that TV has a negative influence to children?

Yes, I do think so. There are so much violence and adult materiel on TV that it affects kids very negatively... I myself have nothing against TV as long as not watching too much, because that's when it really is negative. I have not seen or heard of any kids fighting because of some TV broadcast, but I have seen kids fighting because of a game called "Runescape". It was in elementary school and Runescape was just "in", so everyone played it. A few of my friends started fighting because one of them had stolen the other's account. When the teachers found out, the whole game was forbidden from all students. I think that that was ridiculous

Of course the TV has a negative influence to children, but it depends on what kind of TV program children often watch, even parents should acompany children to watch to tell them which program is bad and which is good. Sometimes parent should stop children to often watch TV which affect their study.Children have good habit of watching TV which can learn a lot of knowledge from TV.

oh really...if my little nieces and cousins watched television i am making sure to it that there is a parental guidance. and they could not watched television if there's no parental guidance and the channel we are opening is intended for children only if the children is around or sometimes they would view children movies separately to us adults.

There were incidents when childrens try to imitate shows like WWF---they would have a big impact on them until and unless they have one big friend lol who break their bones easily in imitating those stunts.there was one such incident in my place---one serial was telecasted every sunday which revolve around a super hero who can fly around and save those who are in trouble.A kid was so crazy of him---he set him room in flames and was awaiting his favourite super hero(i do not remember if he was safe or not)---parents should be well aware of the interests of a kid so they can help them in sorting out that those super heroes do not exist in real---they're part of mankinds imaginary thoughts.

yes tv has a strong negative effect or influence to children. specially those shows who shows violence. i wont let my child watch tv. i would rather recommend watching barney or some kids show.

Hi, Of course friends, although I'm not the expert in the child's psychic, but I'm sure a spectacle in the TV will have a great influence to the development of the child's personality. As you say, there are several examples of cases that occur, therefore in our country, in recent years have made a rule for all TV channels not to broadcast any type of spectacle which has a hardness value as the WWF. I think regulation is good. But the role of parents is clearly better in keeping the children of a TV spectacle. Nice day

I believe that televisiion definitely has an influence on young children, and that influence is not always for the good. A friend of mine has two very young children and they seem to spend most of their awake time in front of the television either watching cartoons or other childrens programmes. while some of these may be very good for a child's development, they also watch television in the evenings and they are watching a lot more adult content.

Well, what I observe in my kids this is really a point to ponder upon. What our kids are watching on tv, its not all fine stuff as there is much potential on rough canvas of their mind to imprint what they watch. We must always try to keep those channels off which may have either PG as well as other programs including the fighting movies, and even fighting cartoons too. The reason why children come to copy some matured things because they were influenced by what they have seen in tv shows. They think it's alright to do the things they see in tube and do it with out further thoughts. It's easy to corrupt a minor just by showing them matured scenes in tv. But all this can be stop by controlling what they see, by choosing only the channels for kids. It maybe hard because some children were already exposed to internet and some tv shows are already in the internet. There is an advantage and disadvantage of what technology brings to the people especially to the tender mind of the young ones.

I think television should be kept to a minimum instead of being used as a babysitter for children of any age. They should be sent out to play in the yards and sunshine and learn to use their imaginations to invent games.

Today I strongly believe television giving a bad influence to children. Kids show tend to be giving bad influence, even a cartoon movie promote rude thing like prank your enemy and killing your enemy like most action cartoon. I personally believe the only kid show thats save is Dora the explorer.

tv influences people, much more so young children. no doubt educational shows facilitate learning but there's a lot of 'junk' on tv too. so parents or guardians should monitor what children watch. they should be aware of what their children are watching and if possible watch the shows together with their children so that they can offer feedback, voice opinions or answer questions that may arise.

Today, everything children prefer to watch TV, than to have fun with differen games outside. It is very interesting for me. And have broadcasts whis is not complying with child audiences.

I wouldn't say TV has a negative influence, but too much TV and/or the wrong programs can definitely have a bad influence. Parents should be aware of what their children are watching and should limit their TV time. Same goes for computer time and video games.

that is why we, as parents should always be guiding well our kids when watching tv shows and movies and other cd videos. we have to always there to control what they have and wanted to watch. i sometimes feel to blame myself when i see my kids imitating what i know he only seen from tv. tv has really a great influence to children, so we really have to take power over them, what they have to and what they should not watch.

I think TV, video games, and movies are sometimes so violent that children get desensitized to violence. Even comics are violent now. They think violence is normal or accepted way of acting. There aren't many positive broadcasts, so I think it can be a negative influence.

As far as I am concerned, I think I do not agree with your idea so much that TV is a negative influence to the children. Though it can lead some bad to th echildren, it still bring a lot of good to the children and the society. For me, I think our life can not be short of the TV ,which can broadcast a lot information that we just do not know by staying at home. With the Tv we can learn a lot of New knowledge. Besides, we still can enjoy our life bu watching Tv progrem in our own home.

hi,TV has a negative influence on children- its half true. watching TV is not bad. but watching programs which influences childrens most, that their parents should have to take care of that.ther are many useful informations on TV channels, so we dont need to see bad aspects, bt try to change it, or fight with it.

hi, phoenix8606,in my opinion, i think the tv more or less have a negative influence to children . because the children don't have much jugement ,when the watch the violence,sometimes they will go to learn the action. if the children want to watch TV,we must choose the chanel for them which is fit for kids.
