Yes I do, that's the good thing about the internet or the technology. You can meet people all over the world and make friends with them. It's up to you then if you are open for friendship. However, virtual friends is still different from your real friends offline. You can't hang out with them like you do with your real friend. But if you do want to meet them in person, that's another story. =) I have a friend whom I meet here in the internet. We both enjoy chatting to each other and we do love sharing our love stories. When the opportunity come to see her, I was happy because it seems that we have known each other for years. I don't have a sister and she's like a sister to me. Actually, she's my Maid of Honor when I got married. =) I have a lot of friends whom I only meet online and I am happy I found a special friendship from them. =)

hi eric_lin, Yes , I absolutely believe that we can make friends from the internet. Although there are times that some people take advantage on you online, it is still you who can decide what to do on those circumstances. I met a lot of people in internet. Some are conservative and others are so liberated. If I cannot stand with the culture of one person, I just stop from talking with him or her because I don't think so I can make friend with that person. Right now, I have so many friends whom I can say is true to me. Most of them are language learners. I am happy with them because we are honest with each other. We are like brothers and sisters. I also have some friends here in mylot. I found one chinese here long time ago and up to now, even he is not that active here, we still talk. And there are also some member here is so good to me. They are so many to mention but I know they are good friends. One of them is on my msn and who helps me in making money in Bukisa. And some do not have their messengers so I just get in touch with them through mylot.

Definitely! I have made friends through a social site and we now meet up socially as well as on-line.I also have another friend who I met on-line and we now chat regularly on the phone.We haven't actually met yet but we're hoping to meet some time later this year.

Yes i do. I cannot leave my home very often, and it is very difficult to spend time with friends in person or talk on the phone. So i joined a forum back in 2006 and made a few friends. One i chat with every day. I consider her one of my closest friends though we have never met in person. She is in the same situation as i am, and though we only live a few kilometers apart it has not been possible to meet yet. To me a friend is someone i can share with and that i know will be there for me no matter what happens in my life, and that i know i will be there for also. So yes - i know i can make friends online.

Hello eric_lin! I believe one person can get friends from the internet even though that i don't experience it personally. I have known quite a good number of people who make friends by just chatting in the internet then eventually leads into a more serious relationship higher than friendship.
