New mylotters: the money quest

I have noticed that many times, when there´s a post about ways to earn at mylot, the question is made by a newbie. I thought that maybe most of us came here at first to earn money until we discovered that we could have fun AND earn some money ( but that was not the most importtant thing). I gave a newbie an answer to his/her question about earnings here. I part I wrote that "I earn extra money at mylot even though I´m not here for that now. I find it fun and rewarding to talk with people from all over the world. It helps if you have many interests and you answer posts from them. Another way to get more earnings is to get friends. I mean the kind of friends that you start knowing. It´s not enough to ask for friendship. Establish a relation with them. Then they will answer your posts, you will comment their answers and you will have fun and gain from participation." I feel now that this is the importance mylot has for me. What is your experience, friends? How did you start here? Did you change your expectations about mylot? Share And to mylot and my favorite mylotters.

I have to admit that when I started on here it was for the money. I was doing tasks at first, and it was a lot easier to make a couple of bucks back then. Now, the tasks that I started out doing have long since vanished, but I am still here. I quickly realized that I was not going to make a fortune (or even enough money to write home about, especially since the money that we earn each day would barely cover the cost of a stamp for "snail mail"), but the friends that I have made and the interactions that I have had on here are the important thing for me. I agree that is what I am here for, and that is worth far more than the few cents that we get each day. I also agree that we have to really have conversations with each other and really get to know each other to get the full benefit of the interactions on the site, and I think that is what some of the newer members just do not understand. *HUGE HUGS* my friend!

Yes, I think that the newer members either realize that this site is so much more than an earning site and stick around for the other benefits that it provides or they become disillusioned and quit. Either way, sooner or later they wake up and realize that this site is not going to make anyone rich in money, but hopefully they also realize that it makes us much richer in other, more important ways.

It just takes you away into another world sometimes and that is the most interesting thing about it. I mean when I am here I get to spend time with great people who are always so nice and we talk about so many different things. The reward is very small and minute so it really is not the main motivation for many I think. Although I can understand how it can be a little bit of help especially if you are really going through some struggling times.

The money I earn here is a way of telling myself if I can reach the monthly goal or not. It´s a sort of race with myself But it´s true you are taken to other worlds. We make virtual travels to many countries and cultures to visit our friends. Itá awesome!

i could say, frankly now, that i came here to earn. it is not that i looked for it but a friend invited me here. yes it is, my expectations about mylot had change as i came to be older here. more fun now and more friends getting to know each day. new thoughts and ideas. earnings? well, i still have to work more because i need it more than i needed it when i started here. but i never expected to earn that big. it is a fact that we have to work more to be able to earn more from here.

You are correct on what you have said Marguicha. I have been to Mylot on and off, but I always get back with enthusiast because I know that this site has been paying their members well. To get more referrals here does not even mean you can get more not unless most of the friends whom you refer will also continue with this site. Although the word FUN on answering and posting questions here is there. I have been participating more on answering questions of what my friends posted here. Although even if some are not on my list of friends, as long as I can relate to the question, I would still give a hand and share my opinions here at Mylot.

I think that way we not only get the most of this wonderful site but we also get more money. So one thing leads to another.

I think the limits ARE set. We can help mylot delete question that shouldn´t be asked. I let some questions pass when people hahave just joined. But after a while they should know better.

I got invited over by a friend. I was never in it for the money, although I do like the little challenge of making payout every month. I've met the best people here...

I was a invited by a close friend I have never seen in my life. He is a canadian and we met playing poker at Pogo. That was over 4 years ago. He is a lot younger than me so he calls me "mamacita". I say that I´m his witch Godmother.. It´s incredible how near you can get to people you don´t know personally. I do like the money too, of course. But that´s not my main reason to be here.

I found out about mylot on youtube. When I first joined mylot, I mainly joined to earn extra money. However, like you, I have made so many nice friends from all over the world on here and it has been very interesting. We help each other, too, especially when we're having problems with our computers like I have been here lately. I'm glad to say that my computer is running so much better now thanks to my friends here on mylot. I'm here to earn money as well as make friends. Kathy.

I have been helped in other ways but you gave me an idea when you said you were helped fixing your computer. Mine was half fiked by my teenage grandson but then he was bored of finishing his job and left it halfdone.. It´s those times when you hate people you most love.

I think I have said this many times and I would like to say it again...I joined mylot to earn money online. This was the first site I joined to make some money online. But soon I realized that mylot is not only used for making money but also for getting information about other sites.. I come regularly to mylot not to earn anymore but to share my experience, views and get help form others about earning online....

Hi Marg, ...and money or earnings is just a BONUS. what we really enjoy here is the camaraderie among mylotters, exchanges of ideas and comments, craziness, naughtiness and all those stuff that entertain us. and even challenge us to act on something.

So true, my friend. We learn so much, we open our minds to so many things! Even when we talk about things as everyday as food, we find the cultural differences and we start adding other ingredients in our own pot.

Mylot is specially important for people with special needs as it is a ring of friendship. I was overwhelmed by the response I had at the time of the earthquake in my country.

imagine the kind of support that i am getting from other parents with kids who has special needs like autism, aspergers, etc. it's overflowing. i appreicate their sharings and i learn from their experiences too as i also share my own journey with my two kids who has autism. remember, the love and support you felt when we extended our prayers and good wishes when we learned about what happened in your place. so amazing and heart warming!

To be honest, my primary motivation here is money. The other reasons like making friends and being able to share and learn from others are secondary. I mean, I wouldn't be wasting my precious time here if I didn't get paid for every post I make. It may be a little low, but never mind, there are other things I get aside from the cents.

I hope you like the site. I have learned about other cultures and people in an incredible way. Just a few days ago I watched a movie that was partly filmed in Manila and I was so thrilled to actually see the city of some of my friends. Before mylot, I know a little where to find the Philliphines on a map.

I came here because, honestly, I needed extra cash. But what really attracted me was the chance to express my opinions, discuss about relevant subjects with people all over the world. I read books a lot and sometimes, I just want to tell somebody what I read .

I like reading too. What kind of books do you read?

I like to read short stories, novels, mainly narrative. I like the kind of books that have more than one reading and you can be interested in rereading even when you know the argument. I like to read different books when I´m on a vacation (then I seek easy books) than when I´m alone at home. I´m not much of a magazine reader and never was. Sometimes I like to read plays and poetry, but I have to be in the right mood.

My husband only introduced me to Mylot. The very fact that he did not make me his referral itself shows that we were not for money. He said, my knowledge on many topics will improve, My time will be productively spent apart from earning money. Now mylot is extending good benefits to all of us even by way of new earning methods. I have good friends globally. Sometimes my doubts on various subjects are cleared here. What more I expect from Mylot? I am more than satisfied to be a part of Mylot.

Hi, my friend, You are right about friends. Where else could people from two different continents and cultures be talking daily? I love mylot for that. Money is an extra benefit.

I divide the benefits from myLot into two categories.. tangible and intangible. Tangibles we can count such as how much is the payout. Intangibles are the ones that we can not measure them but enjoy doing them. Here in myLot intangibles are more.
