Hello there myLotters. Long time till I started a discussion. Well, a weird thing happened this morning! Whenever I go to my college, I stop by a bakery next to my college to get a croissant and a cocoa milk! There is always this little white dog, looking like Dogmatix (Fr. Idéfix, the dog of Obelix). I always buy a crispbread to give it to the dog! He really enjoys them. The dog has no owner but everyone knows it near the college. The bakery owner has put a blanket for it to sleep, and puts fresh water every moment at a bowl. So here's what happened today! When I was about to enter the bakery shop I stopped and gave the dog a pat. (and told it: "whoochooowhoochoo doggy!" but that's out of the subject) Then I got my croissant and my milk as long as the crispbread ! When I came back, I tried to give the crispbread to the dog but it was already chewing something.. It spit what it was chewing and then it started eating the crispbread... What did the dog spit? A 10 Euros bank-note Well, I kept the money but I will spend them on buying a crispbread for the dog every morning as long as the 10 Euros last!

Oh my God, that is the cutest story I have ever heard. I was laughing like mad by the time I got to the end of it. The dog is like a little slot machine. You are really nice to give it crispbread everyday. It did show its gratitude to you. How sweet..

Piggish? Oh poor thing @ the dog. Can you blame the little bugger? He has gotten used to all the crispbread you feed him, and your kindness. But he did do his bit in coughing up that 10 Euro note! More like a piggy bank.. ..Oops sorry about the bad joke

Just by reading your topic about this dog makes my face smile a little bit. Yous story has filled me something a warmth i yet have to define or maybe because you are such a kind person for always being able to provide this dog something to eat every now and then. I guess this dog is very lucky because he had you and the bakery owner who are kind people. Keep doing the good deed and I'm sure things will be much better because good karma does exist. Be kind to animals because they deserved to be treated just like humans. Animals can teach humans to be humble all the time.

Valkerion what a nice person you are, so no wonder the doggie had a ten Euros Bank-note for you after all you are so sweet and kind to it he is just trying to pay you back. Sounds like an ideal place for a bakery right next to a college.smart owner that person. He is also a very kind man to take the homeless dog in and care for it, and even take it to the vet too. I can imagine a lot of college students also have a soft spot for the dog too.thats one lucky dog to get a crispbread every day at least til the money runs out.

It is wonderful that everyone seems to be making sure that this stray dog is well cared for, but I do not think that I could just leave it, even if I was making sure that it ate well every day. I can't really afford another pet at the moment, but I also have a soft-spot for strays and always seem to be taking in another one, even when I am not sure that I can afford it. Fortunately, it has worked out well somehow, and I always find a way to make ends meet.

That is kind-of sad, although you do have the best interest of the dog at heart. They are a big responsibility, and they do require time, love and care, but it is definitely worth it when you get that type of unconditional love in return. I definitely think that I am the one that is blessed to have my animals, even though many of them are rescues that probably would not be alive if I had not taken them in.

I really enjoyed your story! I work at a Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital in my area and I am a HUGE animal lover. Sounds like the puppy is pretty spoiled! That is awesome! That is very good of you to buy him something everyday until the Euros are gone! Sounds like a really special dog to me! I also believe in Karma, and it is good that good things come to people who do good things!

What an interesting experience! I wonder where that money came from. Either the dog is extremely intelligent, or somebody gave him that money (the baker?). Actually, how long can 10 Euros last in your country?

Do you believe in karma? You have spent money buying him a crispbread for many mornings and you just happened to pass by after he had tried to eat a €10 note after someone droppoed it? That's not luck, it has to be karma

Yes I do believe in karma. I have never read a single book about karma, but I do believe that good things will happen to people that do good wills. I am just amazed because it's the first time I get something "back" from karma (either good or bad)
