There was this shocking news just came in this morning here in Cebu, a priest was found dead in motel only wearing underwear and covered by blanket. He checked in at the motel alone, and indicated in the hotel's log that he was from Davao and lied about his true identity. There were these 2 informants (girls) who reported to the guard that the priest suffered heart attack. But the hotel cant confirmed yet if these 2 girls were companions of the priest. By the way, the priest found dead was not from Davao, he was serving catholic church and assigned as parish priest here in Cebu.
I couldn't say more about this, Im a catholic and has meet several priest in our area and this issue has given the church and its member shame and insult. I'd like to hear what your "say" on this issue. :(

I think the police have to investigate this because perhaps this priest was murdered, and there is someone around dressed as a priest who is not. I do not think he was e engaged in illicit activities and since the hotel said that these two girls that were there were not confirmed as the priest's companions, perhaps they were with the one who killed the priest. In other words, they wanted to discredit this priest and get away with their partner in crime.

there are so many questions one would need to ask in this situation and more importantly, what is the priest doing in a motel alone and in his briefs laying under the bed sheath, there must have been a company who would have probably committed the crime

There are many scandals now that priests was involved like child abuse and many more. Last Saturday the story of MMK is about the ex-priest who molesting his stepdaughter it was shocking and really happening in the real world. We don't know why this is happening, they should be the one who practicing what they preach but sad to say there are not.

If anything Catholic priests seems to be gettin a very bad rap this recent years, whatever transpired in the motel, ordinarily,it will be fair to give benefit of doubt until at least it has been investigated and the truth comes out,but having said that, with human nature and all the recent controversies involving catholic priests
from the US and Europe,is it any wonder that the term guilty till proven innocent will automatically be concluded!

First thing we have to consider here, is that, priests, pastors and any other lay persons are human beings, and they are not exempted on physical urges that human beings have, it's just up to their faith and spirituality on how they can conquer and overcome temptations, this will be the factor that will differentiate the real religious and pious to their vocations to those who are weak and misguided. This incidents should not be taken against the church, and on the context that those who are religious are just a farce. This only shows that even the religious are not exempted from temptations.

Too bad i mean well wrong timing and wrong place to die lol . Well people in our country tend to go with the idea of men dying in motels or hotels are doing something rather fishy.Even if the poor man is not guilty of the said act when people normally hear things like that they automatically say hes doing some extra cirricular activity lol .I just wish he will rest in peace and let this issue be cleared of those bad ideas, if hes not guilty that is

Well the thing is our religion won't save us. Not the priest that tells us what to do. Not the bishop. Sometimes having no religion at all is better. Because you will here the head of the church (any religion) not following what they are telling others to do... or not to do.
