Eating too close to going to bed is the number one pratfall that comes to mind right away. After all, if you eat too close, then it begins to digest and then it keeps you up during the night. You will be spending some quality time in the bathroom, even though you would rather sleep. And it does seem like much longer, at least in my experience, because it is.
It really is hard to know when not to eat before going to bed. I say about three hours or so is a safe zone, but again that is hard to say. It really depends on what you are eating. Some things do work on you rather faster. Especially those things that your body is not used to do to not eating them all the time. Thus the body is rather unaccustomed to digesting them.

I've read and heard about different foods that they say to be good in helping you have a good night sleep but the most common in the list are bananas, a warm glass of milk and a cup of chamomile tea. Bananas as some people have claimed are practically a sleeping pill in a peel because it contains melatonin and serotonin which i suppose induces you to feel sleepy. Warm milk has a sedative effect and chamomile tea serves as a natural antidote for a restless mind. I hope this helps you.

My comment is don't eat something too hard to digest. you won't wake up. I think you should eat less in the night. Fruits and veggies. Then If you can a good work out 2 hours before sleep will be good. I sleep easily when I work out at night.
