Should ebay have a delivered star on their screen?

We were talking about everyday stuff and this came up.
eBay has the shopping cart to show checkout was complete, the little $ sign to show it was paid for, ad the received feed and feedback left.
If you sell a lot it is a pain to go back and forth to see if the item was delivered or not because some people do not leave feedback. Would it not be cool if they had it where you could see it? and what date it was delivered for future references?
I hate looking to see if they received it or not and have to make copies for just in case.
What do you think?

I must admit, it would help a lot but I think the idea is unworkable. I get quite frustrated when I am constantly tracking items to see if they have been delivered and that the buyer is happy. I know they can let me know via feedback or an email but a lot of buyers don't communicate, leaving me wondering if they got their items safely.

That is what I am concerned with myself, ya know if they received it. I hate having to check it and I will use the money until know that it say it was delivered. It is a pain though. Probably impractical as you say.

It would be nice but the fact is with so many shipping methods the programing for this function would probably get a little messy. They might be able to do it some way that if the seller enters the tracking information that they could keep it linked to the item so you could go to the shipping website to see the information.

True, I just wanted a way to know that they got it without going through the extra steps of researching it.

That would be great but who would make sure the star was lit up, the seller, the buyer or ebay. Ebay would have no way of knowing when the item was delivered. I do wish more buyers would leave feedback. I'm a seller, I leave feedback as soon as they pay and I know the order is there. I don't wait for me to recieve feedback before leaving it.

Well I get notification from the post office in an email that it was delivered if I put it on their screen with the tracking number, I would think then it have to maybe be the postal notifying eBay that would notify us. Something like that,lol

hi newtalent I would think something like that could be added easily like a star or some logo with the dates etc. why not send this idea to the ebat admins, they might think that is a great idea and be really pleased
that you thought of it, try it and see if they like the idea.

I think that would be a great feature to have on ebay. It has actually been quite some time since my husband and I have sold on there because it is a pain in the butt with all the fees and such. Besides that, there are a lot of people that aren't honest when it comes to their buying and fraud as far as Ebay goes. It would be awesome if there were more ways that you could assure that your packages were delivered because it would act as an addition security for the sellers.
